kill all the Giants in skyrim?

What about female giants? Will they travel and be hunter gatherers with the males, remain in a city, or not even be in the game?

Whats to stop the player jumping on the roof of a nearby farmhouse and spamming the giant with bowshots?

I'm sure the giants are tall enough to hit you even if you're on a rooftop.

Yes yes i know it's a game that has alot 'o action, and the fact that "humans" are very good and preoccupied with control/killing and so on but...to me the fun is about RP and i never really indulge in mindless slaying unless i can somehow justify it or it is part of a quest in order to proceed forward!

Never understood the "obsession" so many have with the Dark Brotherhood eithers so, i know there must be something wrong with me! :talk:

People desensitize themselves and allow themselves to enjoy killing things even if it is fake so that they may relax and enjoy it rather than feel guilty about it. I myself have a difficult time joining the dark brotherhood but I still do LOL. It just means you are a nice person, don't let it bother you though that other people find different motives for video games. It doesn't mean they are bad people :)

There will likely be an infinite number of them, as they'll likely appear randomly.

This will be a trophy. Or killing a certain number of them since they probably respawn.

You know what I noticed from the demo? When you attack the mammoth the Giant also attacks right? This we all know.. but the thing I also noticed was that the OTHER giant and OTHER mammoth did NOT engage. This means that they most likely don't like to get involved unless they really have to. I dunno, any thoughts on that?

I noticed that too, they ran off, i'm guessing because the dragon attacked.

I think the demo was scripted (that's the right word?) ... Even the first mammoth vanish after the first dragon appear...

Not 100% sure.

How is the weather up there on your high horse, eh? Mr. Knight in shining armor? :P I kid, I kid.

I'm fairly certain giants will respawn like any other "creature" since they are not unique named NPCs.

Are you seriously asking this? If you are then I can simply say that all non-unique npcs respawn in TES, so therefore you cannot kill off all the giants.

You guys, quit talking about giants. This thread is about how many gaints are in the game, and if we'll be able to kill them all.

The answers:

32.535262344243 and only if you have the Spoon of Unraveling.

I hope there's a sort of settlement run by neutral giants, so you can get quests for them and be friendly (which should pay off later), or you could just go in and slaughter everyone.

todd said at the demo after veryone asked him to KILLLL the mammoth and giant he said something like, hey these guys are
ok they're not going to attack..

something like that. i imagine from what i've seen that giants are gonna be largly friendly in skyrim{ no pun intended}.
now though after reading this thread i wonder will there be bad giants?

i for one will not do any killing of innocent creatures or people. there's always plenty of battles to be had anyhow. ely

That is completely false, wildlife and nameless npcs totally respawn in all three of those games, just as they will in Skyrim.

I hope so, game wouldn't be any fun if you run out of things to kill now would it?

Oh and some things don't respawn, I'm pretty sure the legendary monsters in NV did not respawn, and I think some of the locations don't respawn legion/NCR, nor do the Behemoths in Fallout 3, or the fire ants if you've killed the queen. And I don't think the enclave outposts that show up respawn. Also I think most of the inside locations don't respawn either, but I'm not sure. And then there are some places that are part of a one time script that won't respawn.

But yes most of the stuff in the outside world will respawn.
