kill all the Giants in skyrim?

Post » Thu Oct 13, 2011 7:35 pm

I cannot see myself killing anything unless it attempts to kill me first, the giants appeared to be a peaceful race and I'm hoping we can interact with them other than killing.

I hope so. I don't want my Orc to get bored hunting in the same ten vampire dungeons and dragons. He's going to need plenty of giants and mammoths to hunt. Trolls will do, as well. Maybe even goblins, if Skyrim has become infested with them.
this plus i dont want certain loot items to disappear.

they wont since fallout 3 fallout new vegas and oblivion when you kill something it stay dead

Everything you killed in those games besides named NPC's, and certain enemy groups respawned when killed.

The only thing that doesn't respawn are named NPC's. Otherwise any generic named thing will respawn, like creatures, bandits, giants names "giant", etc.

I will probably kill the first 2-3 giants just to see how funny it is when they tumble over!

After then, well... chances are I'll just ignore them.

Maybe I'll try leading some dragons to them!

I was under the impression that giants were supposed to be ... well. A bit mythical. They were the "reason" why Dwemer were called Dwarves. "Their little friends." And then poof, several meandering giants appear. Or something?

A part of my orc's background is he was enslaved by giants. He is going to have an intense hatred for them. Once he is able to, he is gonna kill every giant he comes across. He's no dummy after all. :tes:

You know, having a hatred for a certain group of people, doesn't always mean "kill every one of them you see".

They will randomly respawn just like everything else

This. That would svck if they were like the bison in Red Dead Redemption. But it made sense in RDR because american buffalo were dying out during that period of time.

How is the weather up there on your high horse, eh? Mr. Knight in shining armor? :P I kid, I kid.

I'm fairly certain giants will respawn like any other "creature" since they are not unique named NPCs.

More like warrior/thief in not so shiny and easier to blend in armor hehe! ;)

The weather is fine eventhough i feel that question was part 'o your jest no doubt!

I find it somewhat disturbing that most if not all discussions or topics evolve around mindless slaughter...

Agreed. I rarely am the one attacking first in TES games. I was noticing from Todd's Skyrim demo, that the giants and mammoths appeared not to go on the offensive until he took a whack at one of the mammoths. Does that mean the giants are somewhat non-hostile, you think?

Yeah Giants (or Gaints if you prefer) are non hostile, at least the ones in the demo were. Also it has been stated that not all mobs will be hostile even mobs that typicaly were like Wolves and other wildlife. I also belive that it was mentioned that mobs will have a radiant A.I system (simaler to what NPC's have) so chances are that even wolves that are set as non-hostile will become hostile when hungry or attacked ect.

Giants look like one of the hardest enemies in the game, and they don't travel alone.
If you attack one, he's gonna have one of his buddies on you, and that not including mammoths
good luck killing one without tgm or a very high level character

Guys, answer the OP, stop making fun of his misspelling otherwise I will have to deliberately misspell "wraning" in my PM to you. OK?

Yes yes i know it's a game that has alot 'o action, and the fact that "humans" are very good and preoccupied with control/killing and so on but...to me the fun is about RP and i never really indulge in mindless slaying unless i can somehow justify it or it is part of a quest in order to proceed forward!

Never understood the "obsession" so many have with the Dark Brotherhood eithers so, i know there must be something wrong with me! :talk:

Yes... If i were to kill somebody it would be for completely selfish reasons. No religion involved. Thats what I don't like about the Brotherhood. They do it all for their god. Mindless killing is the way to go.

Well I for one and curious as to how the giants manufacture their clothing and weapons. Do they make them themselves?

What makes you wonder?

These Giants aren't the same Giants that were with the Dwemer, just as these Dragons aren't the same Dragons that ran away from Cliffracers

the Op has no idea what they are talking about no less So I'm not sure whats the point of this thread.
