kill cams?

Does any one know if this game will have kill cams...because it would be fun to watch brutal kills with the S.M.A.R.T. system

In Brink when you die you are simply knocked down to wait for a medic to get you back into the fight. Unless someone completely dominates you and kills you with a OHK (Which is incredibly rare in Brink) then I would say no. I think I remember in ET:QW if you are killed (not incapped) you follow your killer.

There are no one hit kills in the game at all, there aren't even one hit incapacitations. When you lose all of your HP, you are downed, and in order to actually kill a person, you have to shoot them so more or go in and melee them. because of the whole downed thing, there's really not any point where a killcam would make sense, looking around for a medic is more useful, and its not very important to know how you were killed while downed.

Yep, otherwise medics don't have to chance to revive people. That's also why you respawn in waves. Having your whole team death can be a catastrophe, but it can also help you to push (Everyone is at full health, full ammo, max ability pips)
Killcams could last for minutes if you die and don't join the respawn wave and no one revives you.

this discussion has already been had, and i made it clear that there is no room for a killcam, either your waiting for a medic, or you'll be respawned in less than 20seconds. you have a choice so you can't be distracted by seeing what your killer did, and so forget where you are and if a medic can get to you

I heard somewhere that a headshot with a "sniper" rifle on a light bodied person is a one hit kill? Can't remember where I heard this...

A High powered rifle is OHKO on UNbuffed lights. You heard right ^^

Too add even more to this, I'm pretty sure it has to be a buffed high-powered rifle vs an unbuffed light. Considering the fact that there's a general skill passive health buff available early on, its not something I would go around expecting to see.

Yeah any sensible light should take any health buffs they can get, or they may suffer quite a lot....Not that i'm planning on going light hunting or anything..

OT: What do you guys think of the upgraded Bethesda fourms?

But then again, a buffed short rifle will still be able to pick off lights that have taken even minimal damage. So they will probably have to be careful to stay close to full health if they are facing snipers. A regen buff from a medic would work well, but that's something that I would normally want to put on a heavy.

The only difference I have found with the forums that actually matters to me is the fact that you can upload avatars instead of having to host them, which is nice.

I was under the impression that a headshot with the light rifle was a OHK. Not a body shot, anyway it will be light and medium using them mostly anyway.

With everyone unbuffed, there are no one hit kills anywhere in the game, I'm sure I've heard that multiple times. I seem to remember one of the interviews mentioning that a buffed short rifle could kill a totally unbuffed light in one headshot, but the buffs are an arms race, so its not likely to happen. I'm not even sure where to start if you want the source though.

I'm still getting used to it. It looks nicer, but Imo it's not quite as handy.

Richard Ham said it somewhere, I think in one of the container city previews.

We'll probably have to wait for the exact answer. I always heard: Rifle Headshot on an unbuffed light = kill. I never heard them saying anything about the rifle having to be buffed.

Well having a buffed weapon on top of head shotting a unbuffed light just cements the OHK on him but that's probably one of the only ways you can OHK
