The world is a floor, you are dirt, the dragons are a broom and Alduin is the janitor.

The broom has no choice but to sweep away the dirt because the janitor wants a clean floor, and it either does its job or gets killed by dirt too strong for it to sweep.

What′s it gonna be ?

If you don't want to kill them, that is up to you, but the rest of us will be butchering them, absorbing their souls, and learning dragon shouts, that's why.

Find a park bench overlooking a body of water and time lapse yourself attempting to come to grips with your moral dilema.

Find a park bench overlooking a body of water and time lapse yourself attempting to come to grips with your moral dilema.

Then get your sword, axe, staff, or bow and prepare to go on a dragon slaying spree. That's how those time lapse things always end, you WILL decide to kill the dragons.

Doom tamriel, and I guess in effect all of nirn, because you think dragons are too cool to kill...

Or better yet, try and make friends with the dragons, see how that goes for ya.

a ) Sing a catchy hippie peace song and hope that the dragons will change their mind about being bullies when their hearts are reached by the message of music.

b ) Call upon Akatosh, the GOOD dragon. Maybe he will bring a lot of GOOD dragons into the world.

c ) Stand there and let them eat everyone....including you

d ) Bribe them.

Here's how I see it - I love wolves, but if a pack of them are attacking my family I will not hesitate to kill them because my family comes first.

I love dragons too- I find it ironic that the game I look forward to playing so much involves killing my most favorite mythical legend. I love dragons- if I'm not drawing Lucien x Malkhai shenanigans I'm drawing dragons. But this is how I'm okay with it- dragons can be like people- there are good ones and bad ones. Skyrim seems to be infested with those that chose to be bad.

Maybe you can invite them over for tea and crumpets.

Acutally, just become a dragon, that dude that runs the tiger people part of the Akavir did. Then you can help the antagonest blow Nirn up.

Uncooked crumpet, toasting fork, dragon with flaming breath = sorted.

Personally, I would find a baby dragon and raise it as my own, teaching it how to perform good and useful deeds... like rolling over, and not eating the planet.

Well, maybe the dragons won't appear if you don't do the main quest, if that's the case, just ignore it, and you should be fine. If not, though, then I guess you'll have to kill them, or avoid them like the plague whenever you see them.

But think of it this way if you need a reason to kill the dragons, the dragons are trying to kill you and everyone else in the world. Iike dragons too but if I have to fight one in a game, I'll do so, if the alternative is to be killed. I also like Khajiit but when a Khajiit bandit attacks me in Oblivion, I take the obvious course of action.

This has been a problem for my 14 year old daughter too, she LOVES dragons and would be much more interested in be-friending and riding them around than laying waste to them.

None the less, she is excited to see them in action. :)
