kill, Kill, KILL, KILL, ... (Part 2)

I am not done with this!!! ;p

Here the original threat (please read at least the opening post):

For some players that may be true. But is it really nessecary to explore every dialog option, to explore every dungeon and read every log to "finish" a game?

I think not. As fun as it is to explore it get repetive really fast. Go in, kill everything, unlock everything, loot, process loot, repeat.

The quests are mostly the same. Quests should generally involve more than testing my active combat skill. Sure F4 has a few special quests and I love them but they are rare.

New Vegas had the kill, kill, kill, ... thing better masked. We could often talk with someone before getting to the killing or there was something that made the quest unique like checking on Charlie. NV didn't count als much on the enviroment to tell us a story and keep us entertained. It imho had a better balance than FO4 who uses many quests to just direct us to a dungeon where it ends in kill, Kill, KILL, KILL.

Can't we just pay double the price and fuse Obsidian and Bethesda? So wie get a vast world filled with tons of quests.

Meh, Obsidian have their own path and IPs to work on. In an ideal world , i'd like to merge Bioware and Bethesda to make..... Bioesda. Or Bethware. In the next few years, CDPR becomes huge and destroys their rivals. Witcher 4 becomes the best selling game in human history, and their Cyberpunk games are so good they converted all of the ME fans. Bioware stock plunges because they never really recovered from the mass effect ending and it tainted the series, so they ran out of ideas and come to Bethesda for help. They merge in order to fight the dark power that is CD Projekt Red. Bio writing + bethesda engine.

I have only played DAO and DA2 (stopped there). So I don't know how I would like their current work. DAO was awesome though.

My Problem with FO4:

- no Side Factions

- 4 Factions with half baked MQ and just copy/paste End Mission.

- all Radiant Quests have the worst Location Randomize System

- Dialogwheel is almost useless, its just for more EXP and more Money but not really different Informations or Opportunities (just to keep the fans?)

- Main Story is ok but the Quests in the Ending feels more rushed

The only good Thing and what feels improved is the shooting. I played FO3 6 or 9 Hours in whole and i just remember the shooting. Without the Settlement System i wouldnt play Fallout 4 anymore. When i just want shooting i could buy whatever, there are many Shooter out. The Shooter FO4 is very improved, but the RPG Game FO4 is lacking in a few Ways.

Be careful what you are wishing for. Merging to developers does not mean you get the best of both in one game - and on top of that even less RPGs would be released. btw why should ME fans "convert" to Cyberpunk? At least I will probably play both Playing one game does not mean you can't play the other too ;)

Unless you hate sci fi, you should try the Mass Effect series. I loved DAO as well, and I still rate it and ME1 as the best modern PC RPGs of all time. 2 was mehh. DA:I was not for everyone but I loved it too, it was a compromise , they listened to their fans and their hatred for 2 and made it more like the first one.

But seriously though, I think this new dialogue wheel thingy is Bethesda testing the waters. TES 6 will see a much more refined and complex dialogue system, that still uses wheels, but probably has more trees to branch out of. It seems to be the #1 complaint so they must be aware that it needs to be improved.

I hope they never use the dialoge wheel every again. There are only 4 different options and I would like to know what I say BEFORE I say. There were many situations where I said things I didn't want to. Installing mods fixed this.

The lists from before were enough. The wheel has nothing to offer to me.
