I kill the Emperor and.......

Nothing. What the ---- is wrong with this??? Noboby mentions it, it really doesn't change anything, anywhere, on any other quests. THE EMPEROR IS DEAD!!!! Skyrim doesn't alter a bit!!!
One would think the writers of Skyrim would have made a bigger deal about a such a grand event!!!
Sorry folks, just venting here. I kill the Emperor and it's business as usual in Skyrim....Good grief Charlie Brown!!

My apologies for venting in the wrong area of this forum. I truely hope I didn't spoil anyones adventure.

I'm still not sure why people complain about this; it makes sense. Does anyone here really think that with the Thalmor on their doorstep, the Penitus Oculatus is going to quickly and open admit that they utterly failed and that the Emperor is dead? It would almost certainly mean a resumption of open hostilities and the Empire (if you do a few related quests) turns out to be in the midst of planning something big against the Thalmor. They're not going throw that all away by suddenly proclaiming "Yeah, we ****** up big time and now the Emperor is dead".

Lol I am still of the opinion of WHY am I killing the Emperor at all? I don't like Astrid very much or the DBH so why am I agreeing to do any of it. Usually I steer towards Chaotic good and not Evil but just to finish this storyline the emperor dies tonight lmao.

I was disappointed that I couldn't go on a secret mission to the Imperial City to do this. (It would have also been a chance to see what it would look like with Skyrim's graphics.)

still every single guard knows that the emperor is dead and actually also knows... that you did it.

Ah yes, a mission back to the Imperial city would be most enjoyable!

Maybe I have a glitch or something. I thought I got away with it, clean, as no one has accused or attacked me.

Do you have any idea how much work that would have required? You have the lousiest excuse to be disappointed in this game I've read in a while.

all I got was this lousy t-shirt."

Yep, choices don't mean to much in Skyrim, sometimes all you get is some dialouge from the guards and no one else seems to notice.

It could have been at night with just some interiors of the White Gold Tower. You sneak off a ship and then enter a sewer underneath the Imperial City and then work your way to the Emperor's chambers. It's kind of the like the grand heist from the Thieves Guild questline in Oblivion.

Putting my idea aside, how can anyone not be disappointed in an assassination in which the Emperor says to you, "You wanna kill me? Okay, I've got nothing better to do."

Do it as I did: take a hard save before joining them, then rush through their quests, and then reload the old save.

I found the DB questline extremely enjoyable, actually. In my opinion, it was easily the faction into which the devs had put most of the quite memorable little details and lovable creepy ideas. And I'll definitely do it again and pay even more attention to these lovable little details then, but not on this current character.

If this character feels like interfering in the orphanage again, then Astrid will rather meet an untimely end.

Then they shouldn't have wrote-in a quest that dead-ends. For my money, laziness is no excuse; it's like a movie that gets you entranced, then you see ' The End '. Sorry, I wanted more.

You have a point, however, I think Beth' just couldn't afford anymore of Patrick Stewarts time, other than " who will help an old begger" line.

I quite understand your position on the matter, as I wish there was a long quest specifically targeting the Thalmor....they stink of Romulan ale, heh, heh, heh
