KillerGymSox's Fan Art Thread

Post » Wed Jun 30, 2010 3:13 am

@ last hope: I am adding all of the links to the first post but in order for people to know it has been updated i will also post the link at the end, also to help bring it back to the top of the forum which helps people find it.

Yes, I think that's a very thoughtful solution. ;)

(...)
That being said I have another speed painting I did for laughs. Just trying to relax and have fun after doing that big one.. http://th3angrygam3r.deviantart.com/art/Skyrim-Dual-Wielding-Penguin-207836425 Don't mess with a dual wielding penguin.

:D Very funny (and a nice piece of art-work), indeed !
But one thing which looks a bit weird in this pic, are the two swords, imo. They look a bit like something that is in direct connection with the penguins throat and not, as it is intended, like two blades, which would reach beyond the neck.

But this said, I have a general question:
Do you mind those little nitpics of me / my fellow art-discussion participants in regarding your work ? I mean, it's just cause I love to discuss art work in details, since this way I often notice something I hadn't realized before in only looking at the picture at a whole. But I also know, that some of my comments / criticism probably are quite stupid, since I'm no expert in this matter or arts in general - and I wouldn't want to get on your nerves with my stupid nitpics.

And, sadly, you haven't said anything about your first argonian pic. :( So, I guess there's no chance that you would spend some additional love on this one, huh ? - Well, I'm a little sad about this, but I think in this case I'll add the non-completed version to my art work collection.

EDIT: For some strange reason, I'm not able to open your images in the OP ! Don't know why, or if it's something which only happened to me / is an issue of my system, but it only affects the OP (and I'm able to open all the other pics in the thread), so I though I mention it. ;)

Castle Sunset Speed Painting. Dedicated to my daughter who has autism. When you view the link click on the picture to view the full resolution. It was done at 1920x1080p for HD wallpapers. Took 2 hours-ish. I will be uploading a stroke-for-stroke timelapse (sped up) on my youtube when it is done rendering and i am done editing, posting, etc. I will update with the link when it is available. Please enjoy http://th3angrygam3r.deviantart.com/#/d3ftrj9 (Dont forget to click on the picture to view the full resolution)

That argonian artwork kind of disturbed me. Why is he licking his dagger?

I will continue painting. Not sure if my next painting will necessarily be skyrim though.

I'm sure the new footage from E3 will inspire you.

Very nice. I actually have a 4 1/2 yr old little girl with autism. She is high functioning but it's difficult to handle sometimes. She's getting better everyday so my wife and I are confident that she will lead a mostly normal life as an advlt. Thanks for the tribute.

My sunset painting is now updated. I didn't like how foggy and muddy it looked so I brightened it up a lot and made it more vibrant. I hope you guys enjoy. Sorry for the "bump" but it was a significant change.

Is it alright if i remix your time lapse? I'd like to see it condensed down to about 6-7 min with some more intense music. I won't upload it to my Youtube though, i'll put it on my server and provide you a link to download it and you can upload it to yours.

Alright, I was going to edit my previous post and just start uploading all my art there but I guess you cannot edit the title of the thread so I will just start a new one and from now on post only here for my art uploads. I have asked a moderator if I may do this and fully understand that the closer we get to Skyrim's release this thread may be moved to the actual fan art section and I am totally cool with that. Anywho here is the link to the picture you guys may have already seen:

Young Nord Warrior
http://s1215.photobucket.com/albums/cc505/Th3AngryGam3r/?action=view¤t=youngnordwarrior.jpg

Here is a work in progress for an Argonian Assassin/thief. He is going to be straddled in the corner of a wall as if to leap down on his victim(s). Yes, goofy pose as of now :D This is just 2 hours into the sketching process. Probably gonna add a dagger in his mouth or something and obviously I will be tweaking things here and there. Just wanted to share what I have so far and maybe take some ideas/thoughts about it. I figured I would do an Argonian since we have already seen the Khajiit and Orc.. Argonians need love too! I will be posting my art here from now on. Thanks!

May, 5 2011 UPDATE!: Argonian Painting now done.

ehhh, just kinda fiddlin around and teasing ideas. Not sure what I want to do as of yet. I kinda feel like spending more time on something this time around. I was going to do a flame atronach (if i spelled that correctly). I am forcing myself to paint every day though, whether or not I upload something is another story. I always do speed paintings though, I should work hard on my next one I think.

thanks, support is always nice. Keeps the coals a-burnin. I would like to say that if anyone happens to watch my time lapse vids on my youtube AND you appreciate it if you guys can "like it" and thumb it up. It's nice to have the support and also know that people actually enjoyed it. I am not about to ask everyone individually if they liked the videos but it's nice and confidence boosting to see thumbs up on something you took time to produce for others.

Already working on a ferocious flame atronach right now :) Or at least my version of one. Its not going to look like the oblivion flame atronach all slick and slender and covered in fire. its going to be very rocky with a core of fire. He will be screaming and have heat energy coming out of his "mouth". Think about how big and bulky the frost atronach was in oblivion but make it fire instead.. sorta.

I hope they're like that in Skyrim. Huge magma-and-rock golems are so much more awesome than the fire pixies we had in Oblivion, haha! Looking forward to seeing your vision of it.
