Killing Amaund Motierre

So, will Amaund Motierre ever leave the Bannered Mare so I can kill him without so many observers?

No, but if you've kill the emperor, this should simply be a piece of cake. You are the listener after all.

You could leave him alive?

I didn't kill him in my DB playthrough.. afterall, it's not good for buisness killing the person who gave you the contract - for no money at that!

I had to do it. Because I was rping an imperial character. This arrogant fool who thinks he can do better as an emperor made me kill my own emperor. Why didn't he do it? And I surely didn't need his money. If it wasn't for Sithis????

You've already killed the Emperor and restored the reputation of the Dark Brotherhood. The Nightmother speak again. All Amaund Motierre can do is betray the brotherhood later. After The Emperor death there will be to many questions as to who was behind the assassination. No lose ends on something that huge.

I killed Amaund Motierre, The Emperor faced his death with such dignity and grace how could I deny his last request. He accepted that death had come and there was no escape. Besides payment was on Amaund's body.

I killed Amaund Motierre just in case he lied to me about the money and to tie up any loose ends, the world may know the Dark Brotherhood killed the emperor but no way I was letting anyone live who "knew it was me". Killing him is easy as long as you have good sneak skill and by the end of the DB quest line you "should".

The Brotherhood does whatever it damn well wants to do so. In the case of the Emperor, his own corpse was the Black Sacrament. Do I *LOOK* like I care for money?

Me too.

I killed him because the Emperor offered a reasonable request to me; to slaughter the man who condemned him. He had some okay loot on his body.

Just make sure you can do it in one attack. Even if the door is closed you'll still get a bounty/arrested if it takes more than one attack to kill him. I've done that quest twice and that's what happened.

Ah, OK. I thought it was the closed door, but it must be the kill in one go.

if u kill him, there are some valuable gems on him, including a flawless diamond i believe
and no, as the people in the above posts said, he wont leave the bar. Just close the door and jab a dagger into his gut. Oh if u want, you can kill his friend too. He is that reveler sitting in the bar near the fire.

Closing the door always works for me , except for the chick who runs the orphanage . Even though I 1 shot killed her in her sleep she screamed . Only thing that happened though was the kids came running in and said how great I was .

If your target has time to cry out then you've likely lost your cover.

The Emperor's death was a good death. I sometimes suspect that Imperials may be pre-Elven.

I was torn, because yes, the Emperor died with great dignity... I actually felt regret that I had to kill him. (Well, that was my first character. My current Shadow Warrior will feel no such silly notion hahaha).

When he asked me to kill the one who gave us the contract, I just told him I would think about it. Heck, he was about to die and a small lie wouldn't hurt. I never planned on killing the contract giver. I mean there are rules and Tenets we have to go by! It is not our business why someone gives us a contract, it IS our business to murder in Sithis name.

People pray to the Nightmother
We get a contract
We kill
We get paid

End of story! Hail Sithis! LOL

Just close the door and kill him silently with one strike. Really easy kill and no observers.
