is it easy to kill guards and not get a bounty or alarmed to other people/guards? or just not going to happen?

For my latest character, I went a little passive-agressive on them. I am playing a thief/mage that has just discovered the joys of vampirism. So at some point I picked Maven's pocket for her house key, I now I use her for my blood fix. I am using a vamp mod that requires you to feed multiple times to return to level 1 (Vampirism Overhaul), so I can feed on her 2-3 times without killing her since she is essential (others you have to be careful not overfeed). So now whenever she makes her snarky comments, I just think to myself, "See you tonight bloodbag..."

Ew, that's gotta taste bad...

Although the only non-hostile NPC I've killed (or sacrificed, I should say) was Lydia, it has crossed my mind whether my game would suffer if the Radiant Raiment snobs disappeared one day. Although they seem to live such pointless, superficial lives I have to concede I like the option of being able to purchase the stuff they sell. Oh well.

Depends on what you mean by "easy". With high enough sneak (with Perks), Muffle enchant and invisibility pots - and some careful planning - you can get away with almost anything.

I stripped Taarie down to her underwear and she still has the nerve to tell me to rethink my outfit when I run past her in Noble Clothes.

I swear, most of these annoying, insulting NPCs don't deserve a knife in the back, they just need medication for their mental health issues.

Well, since there's no Philter of Cordiality or Elixir of Mental Normality I'll settle for an x15 Backstab. :D

Had to look him up actually, seems like he is the most hated NPC in the game. I remember him now but never crossed paths much with him so he didn't made an impression.

Really? You must not make it up to the Cloud district very often....

Reading this thread I begin to wonder if Heimskr is bugged in my game. He just stands there meekly by the Talos shrine... Never says a word except when I asked him about Talos worship. Not annoying at all. A little pointless, but that's it.

I haven't engaged in CW, though, maybe that triggers him?

There are so many annoying npcs I would kill.

I would annihalate every single one of the thieves guild.
All the black briers except Ingun.

I always kill the stupid priest of Talos, in plain view, then pay the fine.

I always kill that stupid piece of crap Cicero. I freaking loathe and despise that moron! I wanted to strangle him with his stupid hat constantly when I first saw him.
You have to hope the Night Mother could'nt hear him whittering constnatly in her places in the void, having to listen to him whittering on and on and on in the third person constantly!

I also hate and will kill or would like to kill
Erikur
Malborn
Sven
Olava Maiden-Loom(biatch pal of Maven)
Nazeem
Delphine
Esburn
Every single Silver-Blood
Nearly every child in the game
The assistant blacksmith in windhelm
The blacksmith in windhelm
Ulfric Stormcloak
Every single stormcloak, ever
Jorleif
And many more.

Nope, in my game I have never gone past the shrine during "business" hours without seeing (and hearing) him up there, sermonizing like there's no tomorrow. Doesn't seem to matter what questlines I've started or not.

I wish there was an option to make Ogmund a follower, so I can sacrifice him to Boethia. If he calls me a milk drinker one more time.....

*shrug* I turn voices off, though I have subtitles on. I don't have to read subtitles.... In all TES games, NPCs are annoying. It's a given. Yeah, I might like to emasculate Nazeem, but I'm not going to. It's nothing unusual, and without the VA crap, it's not a big deal.

Yeah, about 80% of Nazeem's annoying nature is in the tone of his voice. :P

Ok. Took a walk around Whiterun with my new character. Now I've heard him... Oh dear gods...

He must be glitched in my first game. Good glitch! :)

in one game where I killed Nazeem, I later found an urn with his ashes in the Whiterun Catacombs. The urn had all the items he usually carries around with him, even the keys to his farm and manor, so you know its him.

I thought that was a very nice touch, almost like Bethesda knew some of us would kill him!

Off the top of my head: All the Black-Briars, the entire Silver-Blood family, Rolff Stone-Fist, Korir and his entire family, Erikur, Nazeem, Elenwen.

I wish there weren't any essential NPCs so I could kill whoever I liked :/

I would not mind having essential NPCs, my problem is that the game has WAY too many of them, many of which I see no reason why they are so. This becomes a kind of a problem if you are playing an evil character.

It may break the immersion for some, but Bethesda could pop up a message: "You are about to kill an essential NPC. Do you want to continue?" at the very least.

I rather stumble and learn from my mistakes when it comes to this. I killed X and now complete some particular quest? Better not kill X next time around.

Not I. I'd rather risk spoilers by asking questions here or reading wikis before I pass points of no return. I have no desire to do multiple playthroughs (two in Skyrim, but no more) to learn from my mistakes. I learned the hard way in Fallout 3 where I had to reload earlier saves many times before I started reading wikis. :P

Bethesda could always make it a radio button in Options so people could turn the warnings off or on.

The most annoying NPC has to be Cireco, he sounds like a complete _____ (I'll let you pick the word as there are several words that will suit him)

Grelka had to go. I couldn't stand the attitude when I tried to buy or sell with her. Cast invisibility and sneak attacked her in broad daylight,no bounty, noone cared.Riften is a nicer place now
