Killing annoying NPCs...

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 11:26 am

Grelka had to go. I couldn't stand the attitude when I tried to buy or sell with her. Cast invisibility and sneak attacked her in broad daylight,no bounty, noone cared.Riften is a nicer place now

She doesn't bothers me much, Endarie from the Radiant Raiment in Solitude on the other hand has already made it to my character's dark list. She has quite the attitude and the way she says "Finally" after you finish buying stuff from her is annoying.

According to the wiki: "Should the Dragonborn kill Endarie, they will be attacked by two hired thugs bearing a contract from Taarie, claiming that the Dragonborn must pay for killing her 'beloved Endarie'.

Fun! A reason to get rid of both sisters.

Heh, I've killed the Talos priest with all my characters, just very annoying over all. With the current character I ran towards him and cut off his head with my mace, then after he was killed I touched the little shrine and got a blessing from Talos. Even Talos wanted him head it seems :P

I am currently playing an evil character who is the leader of the Dark Brotherhood and I've been pondering about killing guards but those who make a comment about she being in the Dark Brotherhood. Loose ends and all that.

It is sure to create a mess in the different holds as I am looking to avoid paying the bounty. My character's main source of income is the money she wins from the contracts given by the Night Mother and paying 1000+ gold at every turn for a bounty will leave her broke.

This is why assassins need alchemy. Just whip up a bunch of inviso potions and you're good to go. Here's how you kill ANYONE without a bounty:

1 - Hide and pull out yer bow
2 - Let the arrow fly at the target
3 - BEFORE THE ARROW HITS quickly down an inviso potion
4 - Stay in sneak mode until the guards stop looking (or just creep away)

Works every time!

Err.. well almost every time - if you try this on the DB quest for Vittoria Vicci, even if you successfully get away, make sure you avoid that interfering Argonian! Just talking to him gets you a bounty!

Edit: This trick I learned in Oblivion during a Daedric quest (Sanguine, I think) where you have to 'undress' a royal dinner party!

Edit2: Re: Vittoria Vicci - be aware that if you have not done the quest for Jaree-Ra (Lights Out! - about the Solitude lighthouse), that Jaree-Ra MAY become hostile to you. He can detect you quite easily and is essential until his quest is nearly over.

My current character is on the side of the Stormcloaks. Heimskr is a symbol of her hope that the freedom to worship Talos will be restored to Skyrim. So, whenever she feels the urge to shut him up, she travels north and quietly takes out a Thalmor instead. Inner peace is restored.

Besides, after the battle at Whiterun, the poor guy can't even get into his house.

There are so many annoying NPCs in Solitude, my current character is taking the advice of her predecessor and spending very little time there.

Is Ondolemar essential? I had never talked to him before but decided to yesterday. After enduring all his talk about Talos and Mer superiority he gave me a quest for which, surprizingly, he paid quite well.

My current character doesnt cares about Talos or the civil war but she found him and the two guards that follow him annoying, so they need to go.

I was literally irate when I realized that you can't kill Maven Black-Briar. It's most of the children that piss me off in Skyrim though. The creators toy with you by making the children piss you off because you can't kill or even horribly injure them. In our culture? Why is this still not an option? Even in Oblivion, you can overhear a Dark Brotherhood member talking about a contract involving the slaughter of an entire orphanage. If a child annoys me to the point where I would kill them if I could, I take the high road and slaughter their families in their stead. Plus, it would be awesome to have a dead thrall army of children!

They always get attacked by a werewolf in my games. I guess those werewolf tales are true. :whistling:

Every child in the game. With the exception of Babette. It's not that they are kids, but they are out right irritating...hmmm. I guess it is the fact that they are kids.

EDIT : Oh! I missed the killing part in the title...sorry. Still.

Whiterun kids are annoying, has no problems with the ones in other cities, generally Whiterun is filled with annoying characters. Other cities are better probably as they had less focus so NPC get standard dialogue and not annoying ones, note almost any special dialogue get annoying after 20 times. The guy at the drunken huntsman is cool as his greeting make sense as an repeated greeting. I work at Belators store and Have you meet my father is just annoying the 20 time.

However I only kill the preacher as he is super annoying.

Yeah that's dissapointing. I killed her daughter tho, but I can't for the life of me understand why her other two relatives are essential. The one that is always in their house does nothing as far as quests goes and the one in jail is only involved with Frost's quest, a minor quest not tied to any guild quest or the main quest.

Why cant I kill these guys yet I can kill the female orc who gives me the Cursed Tribe quest and fail that quest as a result? Makes no sense.

Sibbi Black-Briar (in jail) is also involved with another quest.

Edit: AFAIK, Maven and Hemming are essential because they move up politically if Riften goes Imperial in either the MQ or the CW quests.
