Killing Gunmar? : V

Is it possible to kill Gunmar after completing the Dawngaurd main story line?

If you're on PC then yes but on consoles i'm not sure.

Well ive tried just attacking him and he falls to his knees and gets back up like nothing happened. Then I tried turning into a werewolf and all that did was pissed everyone off. Im gonna try as a vampire and see what happens then. The reason I want to kill him is he has over 73000 gold. Do you know if its possible to take it from him in a different way?

If you joined the vampires then he should either be "someone you can kill" or not there at all.

EDIT- If your pick pocket skill is high enough you should be able to take it from him.

I love gunmar, the fact he has huge amounts of gold (and he only does if you buy heaps of training off him) is great because he's a reliable buyer of your loot. Everyone else runs out of money, but not gunmar, not ever.

You could glitch through the wall and loot from his merchant chest.
