» Fri Mar 18, 2016 4:46 am Hello y'all, back asking for some clarification/help (after checking previous forum on X6 threads to see if I could find the info I need on the topic of when heis available as a companion--I did not; there was some on the topic of Preston but he is such a "fun" character I thought it was good to revive him for another round of venting by those who find him so frustrating):

[Some 'play' background: I am "allied" with RR/Minutemen/BoS/Institute -HA! Undecided who my character will choose.]
Q1: If I kill Preston (and I have not taken the Castle/Independence) do all follow-on MM quests die/abort too? (I'd expect them to.) --I do not expect much on this topic since the answer seems obvious. The main issue for me on which I found nothing is question 2.--
[Preston is driving me C-R-A-Z-Y! And the MM are frustrating. Hopefully Beth will tune their constant quests down a tad making the quests pop up only if main char "asks for it" from the dialogue --constant attacks are a constant interruption (and The Warning is hardly up long enough to catch my attention!). Furthermore, I have a very long list of open MM quests which I may never answer (lots of kidnapped people are going to die (I hope) and a lot of sites need to be cleared or settlements are asking for help of some sort (all of which constantly interferes with the other faction quests and my desire to explore). So, against my nature, I have to ignore and let the list of quests continue to rise as I miss out on the occasional settlement I do have being raided. NOT what I enjoy doing. {Next time, I think I'll postpone Preston and his gang even beyond level 30, like after level 50 or NEVER!})--]
Q2: Anyway, Back to my X6 question/issue: I have completed Molecular Level, From Within, Institutionalized, Synth Retention and Battle of Bunker Hill and (I think) Mankind Redefined. I am waiting to go to Mass Fusion to do something/get some sort of nuclear reactor device to help power the Institute (while also acting as the Institute Director-to-be since Father chose me as replacement). . . so, I thought I'd use X6 as a companion. . . but, I can't find him so, the question I need help with, when can I get X6 as companion? where do I find him? or, have I missed something (again)?
