Killing Saadia is the right thing

Post » Tue Apr 16, 2013 5:54 pm

Seriously, I just finished the quest for the first time after 800+ hours and she seriously deserved to die. I thought the Alik'r were after her for some stupid reason, but then I found out...Who else killed her?

Why did she deserve to die?

I think I've done the quest in all possible ways, and to me it always seemed like it just comes down to whose word you trust.

I think she should face justice in Hammerfell, not some guy she randomly.

No doubt this will go the route of every Saadia-Kematu thread already on the forum.

For the record, I slaughter the Alik'r every time.

If they could *prove* the allegations, I'd hand her over. They can't, so their blood nourishes the soil

I never killed her, but I'm safely assuming she'll be dead.

Spoiler
She sold out the city she lived in while Hammerfell to the Aldmeri Dominion and they destroyed it. The other houses discovered this and she fled to Skyrim, manipulating people into keeping her in hiding.

The real solution is to kill both. I feel that is the most adequate way of dealing with this dilemma.

She seems to be a traitor who is responsible for a city in hammerfell being conquered by the Thalmor. At least that's what the Alik'r are saying.

I always kill the alik'r just in case she was telling the truth and gets brought back to their camp and is forced to do unspeakable things.

Only way to know for certain that you stopped the Thalmor allies. :P

Listen to what she says when they capture her, obviously a traitor.

I see... And do they have any writs from the government(s) of Hammerfell, calling for her arrest, or anything showing them to actually be who they claim to be? Or are they just assuming that since you're in a province that largely opposes the Dominion, you're against the Dominion as well, and will side with them if they appear to be anti-Dominion?

Kematu's bunch are far too shady and unable to back up their allegations, so I can't in good conscious hand over a potentially innocent woman. Don't get me wrong; her story smells too but that doesn't mean she's inherently guilty.

If you feel like killing someone is the right thing to do here then wipe out both parties, as Hevronaak said.

Pretty heavy charges. I trust you can provide concrete evidence supporting them?

I pretty much always killed her unless I RP'd a Thalmor Agent.

Actually found out when playing the first time, since the story she tells you makes absolutely no sence if you're aware of the politcal situation in Hammerfell.

A case can be made for her, actually, as southern Hammerfell was under Thalmor control for about eight years.

Story doesn't match up with what's happening in Hammerfell and she doesn't once deny the accusations when shes about to be captured.

And just as obviously they don't take her 'to Hammerfell' since Kematu stays in his hidey hole and Saadias' remains appear in the catacombs.

So she's lying. That's fairly obvious, but how does that make her a traitor? Kematu doesn't actually make any accusations about her betraying Hammerfell to the Dominion, only that she manipulates people. And where's the evidence that Kematu and his gang are actually who they claim to be, or that the charges they levy against the woman are actually true? Just because her story is false doesn't mean that the other one is automatically true. Both could very well be trying to manipulate you, and claiming their opponent to be with the Thalmor is a pretty safe bet to make you side with them instead.

If she really worked for the Dominion, why wouldn't she flee to their territory when things went south instead of another place that absolutely loathes them?

If Kematu is to believed, she betrayed a city to the Thalmor. That would place her betrayal at the very beginning of the Great War, 30 years ago. So assuming that Saadia was just barely an advlt at that time, she would be 50 now.

Seriously, we are to believe that http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Saadia There is a slider for Age 40, and a slider for Age 50. She is not using either. She is using the base slider, for 20-somethings. So apparently she crawled outside her mother's womb to sell out Hammerfell, then crawled back inside for a few more years waiting to be born. Or perhaps she jumped in her Tardis and went back in time to do it. Riiight.

That is not to say that her side of the tale is any less ludicrous of course. She did something to tick somebody off. What it was, whether or not she was justified, we will never know. All this quest really shows is that Redguards are the worst liars on the planet. None of them can invent a story that is even remotely plausible.

Because she was in an area not controlled by the Dominion when the city was taken over and destroyed.

Taneth was captured, along with sizeable chunks of southern Hammerfell. Where's the evidence the city was 'destroyed' ?
