Killing Stormcloak Jarls?

Post » Tue Apr 01, 2014 7:50 am

So after I finished the war quest line (on the side of the Empire) all of the banished and dethrowned stormcloak jarls go to the Palace of Kings in Windhelm. Can I kill them now? Are they still essential? My DB is loyal to the empire and wants every stormcloak dead

I don't think you can kill them. In fact, don't they just disappear after Ulfric's dead?

You can't kill them. The game's pretty daft, in that regard. The civil war seems to follow a 'no civil war stuff' policy.

Yeah, like people are still like "I'm really busy with the war right now" and I finished the quest like a year ago (in game)

They don't disappear. Most of them stay at the table, while Korir and family stay at Brunwulf's old place. Same for the Imperial Jarls, they stay in a chappy area downstairs in the Blue Palace.

Of course not, why would you want the freedom to kill whoever you want, especially after they're no longer of use?

The stormcloak Jarls should all be in chains and in a prison if the Imperials win, they wouldn't just be exiled to Windhelm.

If my son had been talking to a Daedric Lord, I'd leave his ass too.

Exactly. Windhelm isn't in control of the Stormcloaks anymore. There was a whole freaking quest were I had to attack it and take over the city! This stuff annoys me in skyrim. And they should have totally done a like ceremony at the end of the quest where Jarl Eliseff becomes High Queen of Skyrim... Little thought on Bethesda's part IMO

He spends all day cooped up in Dragonsreach, Mephala's probably the only experience he has of male-female relationships

Damn that's a worrying thought...

She wouldn't, there's been no Moot.

EDIT: My absolute favourite thing about posting is how parts of comments are randomly made small.+

I wish the Stormcloak jarls at the end could have gone home and returned to quiet lives (As citizens of whatever respect they earned as Jarls) now that the war was over.

That's what I'm saying. There should be an extra quest added to that questline where the DB can attend the moot or whatever and maybe persuade Jarls to vote for her (or not), and then there would be a ceremony for her/ whoever is picked

Ah, but if there was, then it might tie Bethesda's hands in how they can deal with the civil war's outcome in TES6. That she's not High Queen makes me think the next game's not set too long after this one.

Are you suggesting that she gets murdered, making the whole thing pointless!?!... interesting

There was a quest given by Boethiah to assassinate her. Probably took it out since it could interfere with an already buggy CW.

Oh, I didnt know that. I guess that was when Skyrim first came out. I didn't even know how to tie my Dunmer's shoes until like a month after the game came out, let alone where Boethiah was

I like that they attempted to have different Jarls move in and stuff, but it's just go glitched. Take Balgruuf for instance, if he's replaced he will leave for Solitude and his children will stay with Vigar. AND.. If that wasn't enough.. You can still do the Whispering Door quest.

Yeah ikr... One of the main reasons (besides being Altmer) that I chose the Empire side was so that I could still buy a house after the war... Ik that buying a house in Whiterun isn't that big of a deal, but I always try to avoid glitches (there are SOOO many in Skyrim)

I wish the civil war was less flowery, you know? Like a civil war? I've been writing about Hebridean history for most of today, so could we at least have one morally questionable massacre? Be warned, the: 'it's not that kind of game' line won't work on me. The game already features graphic executions, child kidnap, implied sixual assault, and cannibalistic feasts.
