Last time when playing through FO3 GOTY, I killed that rude and crass man, Colin Moriarty. (Plan to this time, too.) Curious though, Gob never renamed the pub during the game. Possibly I'd not waited long enough...? Does anyone know about this...? Thanks, gang.

I can't kill that annoying Moriarty, because he disappeared. I decided to kill him and then this bug happened. My lovely Gob can't own the saloon now.

I never had a problem with Gob renaming the saloon, I've always been really lucky with Fallout though, I've only once ran into a major bug and I managed to fix that... Anyhow, it should work, good luck. I hate that even if you kill people stealthily the people around still turn hostile though, after playing New Vegas it's so annoying!

When I can't find him, he's often stuck in the back room, crushed behind the door you just opened.

Thanks for advices guys, but after 260 hours of game he is still missing. If I find that bastard alive, I will bury him 60 feet underground with no mercy.

i usually keep dropping barrals on him untill he dies... and u don't get attacked too

I found if you want to kill a character off without turning the town hostile is to use the mesmatron on them. Most of the named character won't be stunned and will turn hostile. Then the rest of the town folk will gun them down. Their dead and no karma loss either. I can't remember if I tried it on Moriarty though.

I think I found the source of the confusion. There are two signs. There is one directly above the door, and one above the building. The sign above the building changes to Gob's name, but the lower one doesn't change.

I think that Nova runs the bar after Moriarty dies.

I killed him, I DID it finally!!! After long time of looking for him, I started to play with a new charcter and first thing to do was killing than annoying Moriarty,

The Bar's changed name but only the upper sign, as Big Daddy said. And the dialogues seems weird now, while Moriarty is rotting on the floor in his 'office' Gob keeps saying how he Moriarty was very s++t on him lately,'' ....Yeah, maybe he is annoying even when he's death. Hey Colin, just go nicely rot and leave me alone!

Its more likely that hes already there, glitched under the map that is!
