Killing Vivec isn't canon (Spoilers inside)

Spoiler
So I played Dawnguard and met Saint Jiub at Soul Cairn. In Morrowind he was at the ship that transferred Nerevarine. After the incident with the cliffracers, Vivec revived him and he turned into a Saint. So that happened after Morrowind events, so if the player had killed Vivec, Jiub wouldn't have turned into a Saint. So is there a hole in the lore?

Haven't played Dawnguard but you never killed Vivec. You killed a vestigial remnant of him. He had already achieved CHIM. Hell there is een the Trial of Vivec.

Btw, this belongs in the lore forum.

Not really.

Jiub is sainted before the Oblivion Crises, and Vivec dissapearing sounds like a relatively recent occurance when you hear about it in Oblivion. This doesn't mean that the Nerevarine doesn't kill Vivec; s/he just doesn't kill "him" until sometime after either the Main Quest of Morrowind, Tribunal, or Bloodmoon.
