Killstreak and high k/d psychology

The past few days I've played online, I've been doing double digit kills and single digit deaths. And when I go on rampages like these, I feel good. Great even. It gives me such a massive adrenaline high that after four to five games straight of this I stop playing and savor the feeling.

But what is it that makes you feel like this?
First off, players like Warspirit and the like are beast at this game. But do they just sit at the pc all "meh" and casually kill along? Ask them. There is a 99% chance they will tell you no, they buzz along on endorphins like the rest of the elite.

Imagine this in your head:
You start a game, and you wait for the countdown to release the hounds. While you're waiting, you look to a teammate and give them that nod. The "sup" nod. They nod back, you know it's gonna go down. You've got your gear picked out, you're ready to destroy anything that moves. The weapon in your hands is one you've worked and grown with. Your baby.
Where am I going with this? Keep reading, it will all make sense.
You fly along the ground, looking for red accented armor and you want to make all of it that color. You spot that guy. That's the one who's gonna die. You unload the clip into him, he hits the ground dead.
There's a rush of endorphins that hit your brain. That feeling of "I did good".
These chemicals in your brain are like a drug. They make you feel great and you don't want them to stop. What they are designed to do it fight the feelings of nervousness, stress, and replace them with happiness, and so on. In this case, it's stress and paranoia that somebody is gonna get you next but you feel good about that kill. So what do you do?
Freak out?
Hide?
Get killed?
It's all up to you. Die a few times, but hold on to that feeling you get when you get a kill. The endorphin rush. After a while, you notice things in the game you overlooked before. Slight movements besides the grass, colors that seemed out of place, visual magnetism towards the color red, and the shadows of people that aren't there...cloaked enemies.
All this thanks to the rush you get from that one kill.

But back to the pre-game countdown and the bullet spewing baby in your hands.
That guy who gave you the nod back will give you the feeling that he's got you if you need him. The tool of destruction in your hand was "crafted and forged just for you".
"This is my SCAR. There are many like it in the world, but this one is mine"
You feel like the world is ripe for the taking.
That guy with the bow is dead.
Your HMG .50 has got nothing on this desert camoed beast.
Feline? Pssh, girls use guns with a fancy name for cat.
You get into that groove. That happy place where unicorns fart rainbow lasers and the M12 NOVA fires tank rounds of DEATH!

All because you're high on naturally made brain drugs and you don't ever want it to stop.
Enjoy that high son, you earned it.
