I'm actually really excited about this game, it looks to be really good and the multiplayer is awesome. There's currently a public beta open until tomorrow I think available on the store.

Anyone else getting it? I remember we had a Killzone 2 clan for a while but nothing really came of it, would anyone else be interested in starting one?

I'll be getting it. I played the beta a bit and really enjoyed the improved multiplayer and refined controls. The campaigns are always pretty good in the Killzone games too. I haven't decided if I'll get it on release day or not yet though.

The game looks great from what I've seen. It's titles like this that make me want to break down and finally just buy the ps3.

It's worth it if you're going to play it a lot. My problem is that I play my 360 waaaay too much, also the standard PS3 controller isn't that comfortable in my hands.

The main downside to the PS3 is the lack of cross game parties, or even cross game chat for that matter.

So what do you think of the review from Gamespot? I was shocked to read the review about a game, that hasn't even been release for 3 weeks yet.

I won't be getting it. I thought it was my PS3 that was screwed up, (but never had this problem with any other game so I know it's not the PS3) when I load Kill Zone 2, it looked blurry or out of phase, I really can't explain it. It caused me to be dizzy. Then when it loaded it looked ok, but I kept getting killed all the time, within 1 minute, I quit playing. I really svck at these 1st peson shooter games, but this one was really hard, so I gave up.

I don't care for 3D. Since a bit is being hyped about 3D, I am worried this is the selling point and the substance of the game will not be there. So that bad experiance with KZ 2 and 3D hype of it, I don't think it will be a game I buy unless I see phenomanol reviews on this site.

Hopefully I am wrong for you guys who like. We do need a Halo killer so both series of games and others will get better and better.

Often reviewers will get the final game well ahead of it's release.

Being a new PS3 owner it's a possibility, but there are two factors that turn me off. First of which is Playstation Move. I'm not MADE of money here. Second is that I tried the Killzone 2 demo, and found that I infact svck very handily at FPS games.

The Move controller isn't required, and there's always room to improve your FPS skillz.

Heck, I've been playing FPS games for years and I still think I'm not as good as I could be.

Huh, this thread reminds me that i haven't finished Killzone 2 yet. I could never beat Radek :shakehead: As for the third, i'll continue my tradition and buy it when it goes Platinum

Well even outside of the games available it is still a really good and comparitively inexpensive blu-ray player.

I like the improved controls on the multiplayer open beta. I didn't buy KZ2 because the controls svcked, it felt way too slow and heavy. Possible purchase, but I think I'll wait for the price to drop.

That is why I bought it, as an inexpensive Blu-ray player at the time. KillZone 2 came with it. I just don't think for me at least it's worth spending over $70 for it. I guess I am not a
1st person shooter type player. I just wish the game wasn't so bloody hard.

I really enjoyed the open beta MP, class based gameplay was refreshing because it emphasizes working as a team a mastering different playstyles.

I really love the character design of the Helghast, kinda reminds me of the the soliders of house Harrkonen from Dune.

But I doubt I'll buy it right of the bat. Chances are this game will go "greatest hits" and I'll buy then.

The design of the Helghast is just so awesome. Colonel Radec's uniform is just too cool.

killzone 1 was pretty good.

killzone 2 I realised was just another corridor shooter and got bored after an hour.

good graphics wont change the basic formula. If you'v played the original doom you've played killzone 3.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

I've never played any Killzone games, but I'm getting 2 for my birthday on the 17th, and then 3 on release day <3

Doom had jetpacks and mechs, amirite? And the ability to look up?

You do realize its an FPS right, there are not going to be RPG like characteristic to it.
