I′m kinda disappointed..

Post » Tue Oct 11, 2011 12:10 pm

I am kinda disappointed with the non-implementation of certain things, such as:
- Locational damage
- No blocking at all if youre using : spell/weapon, spell/spell, weapon/weapon)
- No weapons showed on your char when equipped (all of them)
- No capes!!
Are about you? What else is missing?

Please, no capes. They won't be able to make them look right. Capes are too hard to implement properly.

I would've liked Spellcrafting.

I'm a bit disappointed about some things, but the positives of Skyrim far outweigh it's negatives.

you can block with a spell, there is a shield spell, so the only time you cant block is with 2 weapons and that is for balance purposes

Not being able to block when you're dual wielding spells kinda makes sense. And capes without cloth physics would have been horrible, but then again if we had cloth physics I'd be all for them. And when a weapon is equiped they show on the character, but you can't have more than the two you equiped. It would be interesting if the things on your two hotkeys were visable, I'd like that.

As for me, I'm upset that hth isn't a skill anymore. That and no spellmaking.

- No capes!!

The biggest and only disappointment...but to be fair its hard to implement in a game since quite a few bugs can arise like the cape ignoring the PC's body etc

We just need a big mega-merge "Disappointment" thread.

Not saying it's wrong to be disappointed about some things -- I am too -- but I, personally, am sick of hearing about the negatives when the positives strongly outweigh them.

I have no complaints, the slightest thing was not being able to name your class.
other than that I understand why some things were removed. :D

I believe he means you cannot see your bow & arrows with your sword, with your shield and the Sweetroll you were given by a Old Lady in Winterhold.

Nothing for me so far. I was worried about some things, but they've all been happily resolved, so no worries.

I don't give a care about merged armor, missing perks, etc. Locational damage would be nice, but it won't break the game for me.

- eh I'll live without locational, but I can agree how it can be disappointing to some.
- It makes perfect sense to lack blocking with any of those combos, you have to have some drawback with double offensive. Blocking with that much damage output would be pretty unbalanced.
- I'm pretty sure you can see your equipped weapons. If you mean "ALL" as in every weapon in your inventory thats impossible. We can carry quite a bit in inventory.
- Capes? I can see hooded cloaks, but capes belong on superheroes not Nordic warriors.

Locational damage - Ah whatever.
No blocking if your using weapon/weapon - Don't really care just hack some people up and dont get hit :mohawk:
No weapons shown on your character - Did you just add this so your list would look bigger?
No capes - Capes would be cool but there are MUCH better things out there to wear.

Personally, I've never been into the hobo look. If they made it so that every weapon you had hotkeyed was shown on your character model..... yeesh, that'd be annoying. I'd have to only have maybe one weapon hotkeyed (and probably nothing else physical) so that my character wouldn't be obscured under a pile of straps & scabbards.
