PC-UI is kinda really bad

Srsly ANOTHER console-port done bad.
That you just have all the keys in a romb/Square for conversation as if you are playing with a controller is just the first step. That the ARROWKEYS are the default convesation keys is the second one. HOW HARD can it be to actually just line all the text up in 4 lines and ad 1-2-3-4 to them instead so PC users that dont like controllers can have an intuitive UI?
Also, you might want to add 2nd mouse key to back out of menus instead of tab, or atleast let ppl have several key-binds for the same command.
WHY oh WHY do almost every game that is released now have to have clunky PC-controlls just cause developers cant add about 2 weeks of work to get some correct PC-UI Components.

The only games that feels normal on PC nowadays are games like SC, LoL, Dota2 etc that are made for PC. Every single port made are Always super-clunky. I mean, there got to be ppl playing the game on PC at Bethesda but... from how the UI is made it sure does not feel like it.

as was Fallout 3, Skyrim, New Vegas.. thank the gods for DarnUI or MTUI or SkyUI.

(I actually don't find the FO4 UI too bad at the moment. What does irk me is all the "press R to recycle, then press enter to confirm" malarky. Can't I just press R twice? why do i have to move my hand to the other side of the keyboard? etc Dunno if Darn can fix that too, but little things like that are more annoying than the new UI imo. It's not as bad as Skyrim's vanilla UI was on PC, that was ridiculous)

Every game nowadays is made for consoles first. Sadly that means the UI is catered for them.

Just gotta endure a few more months before we get a decent UI i guess.

it's kind of lazy though..
"shall we make a good PC UI?"
"nah, let the modders do it"

I mean, its great that they give us the tools to do it, but we shouldn't HAVE to.. :/

Clunky controls needn't be too much of a problem if you offer the players the possibility of general key rebinding. Easy enough to implement, I would think. But it didn't happen.

The game is most definitely a direct port over from console... but the UI isn't that bad. Some of the button assignments for things (I hate ENTER as a confirmation) are annoying... but it's tolerable. The primary look of the UI is great and I thought the power armor UI was amazing.

1-2-3-4 can be used for conversations, and E can be used instead of 'enter' for (all?) menu/confirmations.

Also, in most menus (workshop), holding Shift can change WASD to arrowkeys.

cheers, problem is just that. A PC user should not need to dig for this, it should be there from the start
