kinect In skyrim

Post » Tue Nov 30, 2010 2:09 am

they do play hockey in scandavanidia too . and im not saying have hockey loot to slay dragons with kind of in the same manner as amulets in oblivion as something superfisual with boost attribute abilities, maybe have hockey as a way to level up your athletics in the same way as running and swimming. but we've gotten off topic though, i just think kincet would open up a lot of door and make skyrim much more unique since so many mainsteam titles are avoiding its technology!

You just don't give up, do you?

Look at the motion controls of the Wii for an example of why we don't want this. Look at how many titles use the motion controls to their fullest and actually keep the game enjoyable. Now look at the number of games that attempt to use it and it just ends up being a pointless gimmick because they tried to apply it to something it has no business being in.

TES does not fit well unless it's being controlled with a controller or a mouse and keyboard. Period, full stop, the end, fin, Ende, al final, and any other way that I can say it that didn't come to mind.

Now don't hate on me, but i think PSMOVE would be pretty cool with skyrim (Not saying the whole game should be playable with it) But maybe as a special addon arena thing where you can only use move in that arena. But i think it ll be really fun to us the remote (LIke in sports champions) for your shield/sword and you can even cast spells.

It's not the worst idea ever, but wouldnt fit a game like this yet. Fighting with swords, shields and bows would probably work well, but that's where it all ends. How would you move your character?

And hockey? Why? In an elder scrolls game? When you already have NHL etc?

Maybe some day...with a different game... It would be cool for the first few hours maybe, but then when you have to run up all 7000 steps to get to the graybeards...Well, Skyrim might as well be a fitness game for the next half an hour your running.

The bulk fans are not ready, and the tech isn't completely ready. Maybe in time, but not now.

OP, if you want to play hockey so much, play NHL '11 or play actual hockey.

Back on track, implementation of Kinect for Skyrim would be highly impractical. I don't think Bethesda will waste time or resources in Kinect function.

Yo Silvade, take a breather before you have a stroke. I had to read this entire thread, it was just too epic. It was like watching a car accident where both cars are buses filled with crippled, cancer ridden orphans.

If you want a Kinect hockey game that's fine. But no one else wants ES to have anything to do with Kinect or hockey because it just doesn't make sense.

This has made me laugh, can you imagine running from point a to point b on a quest and hacking your way through a dungeon, you'd be able to fast travel back, but you'd be exhausted after 20 minutes of play unless IRL you were a long distance runner doing regular training.

I can only think the OP must be either a: extremely young and energetic, or b: extremely fit, or c: overestimating their own physical abilities. TES games are games that should svck you in for 70+ hours of play, not 20 minutes of exertion. I bet no-one would finish the main quest using Kinect. It's just not that sort of game. Kinect has its place, but I can't see it being a popular option in a long game like this.

wow i thought their would be more support for kinect and the addition of hockey. i just think it would be cool that of if instead of fist fighting like in real hockey, if the other team scored a goal, i could pull out my sowrd and cut them in half. but okay i get it, no hockey then but what about skies? i think having skies as apparel would make it easier sking down the mountains after visiting the gray beards, instead of maybe falling to youre death and also would be easy to impliment with the kinect system. thoughts?

Kinect = not gonna happen. Anything else? New thread maybe, for an idea that might stand a snowball's chance in Hell since it doesn't revolve around "TES for Wii?"

And how would we open our inventory, map, how would we interact with othet things?
The Move would be more plausible... I don't want Bethesda to waste 3 month of squedule to make a kinect campatible game.

No. Kinect is just a gimmick that doesn't belong in anything other than party games or family games. TES is neither. Seriously, let it go.

WHAT PLANET ARE YOU ON?
:P lol, honestly Crosby, it takes longer than it sounds. They have to completly program everything to work on the kinect too, and that costs money and time, do you want the game to get delayed when Nobody wants to play on it? Pretty selfish <_<

Uh, you do realize there's more to their *ahem* schedule than "Spend next 10 months thinking what else to add," right? And yes, it can take that long to do...this ain't Fantasyland, and coding for a brand-new toy of a novelty controller takes more than giving the shop intern half an hour to tinker with it.

No Kinect. No way. No Hockey or Skiing mingames. Just no. Whether any minigame "that uses Kinect" is appropriate can be answered with a simple inversion: "Does it require Kinect? Yes? Then whether it is appropriate and should be added is NO."

not around were i live, alot of people at school have kinects and love them!! it could draw alot more people in to the series.

Wrong! This would deter a lot of people away from the series. Kinect is nothing more than a half-assed attempt at motion gaming...which will not last much longer. Wii did it first, did it right, time to move on.

Are you serious? This is not a wii game, this is an open world RPG... We don't want kinnect, we don't want winter OL or happy funtime at pluto's birthday >.<
