What? Well, he might be dead, but I refuse to believe that the Altmer I easily slew in Oblivion was an ancient lich of incredible power.

that mannimarco couldnt have been the real one... i mean, he was made out to be so much more, and wasnt he supposed to be... i dunno... not-so-mortal?

i would like to see them make the REAL mannimarco appear... like the one from that "mannimarco revisited" mod.

now THAT was mannimarco!

a godlike lich with a staff of worms with an effect lasting... 300 seconds, i think it was... instead of 30?

not to mention his own unique abilities... atleast from what i read.

sheogorath needs to come back, and...

...will the real mannimarco please stand up, please stand up, please stand UP?!

The problem was that killing Mannimarco wasn't a choice like killing Vivec in Morrowind or a high level character quest in an expansion, like killing Almalexia in tribunal. It was the only posible outcome for the vanilla mage's guild quest, so they couldn't make it too hard. In my opinion launching mannimarco at you that way was an error. Sadly, they did it.

I know. I'm saying that might not have been the real Mannimarco.

Fighting a more suited Mannimarco in Skyrim and fighting him being a choice not related to MQ, would be great, but that would remove the achievement of killing him in Oblivion and it seems that they take achievements seriously latelly.

Wait, that was an achievement on the 360?

I mean it was an achievement in the traditional sense. But considering they are giving you in game achievements I don't think they will like to remove a real achievement from casual players.

they take "achievements" more seriously than the lore?

that would be sad... and if it was true... why bother having us deal with mehrunes dagon again if we defeated him in battlespire?

mannimarco is supposed to be a mighty lich... not a mortal altmer.

look at this quote from UESP...

He became the first lich (explaining his longevity, as he was approximately 1,130 years old by the beginning of the Oblivion Crisis).[1] It is not specified if he was the first lich ever or the first humanoid to make the transformation. He lost his body and mind; he became a living, moving corpse. His blood became acid, and all manner of repulsive things happened to him.

and look at this image of him from daggerfall...

http://images.uesp.net/5/59/DF-King_of_Worms.png

...im sorry, but we need this mannimarco as an opponent either in skyrim or a later game, because there is no way in hell that altmer was the real one.

if we can find dagon twice, we can fight the REAL mannimarco after killing a random minion of his who decided to use his name.

Yeah that's what I was getting at. If Mannimarco is going to be considered dead for good in the lore just because of a silly achievement, that would be truly sad (to put it as civilly as possible).
