I knew the DB were a little Odd, but...

So I return to the Sanctuary after completing my latest contract and settle down for some armor repairs. I realize that what I'm hearing in the distance is not the usual chit-chat about killing people. So I wander over. Ocheeva and Telaendril are having a huge fight outside Ocheeva's quarters. Neither one seems to know why the other is attacking them--there's a lot of "why sister why?" dialogue.

I don't want to get tossed out of the DB, so I content myself with using a stray "heal other" scroll I'd picked up somewhere on Ocheeva, because I need her to give me assignments, and I don't care what happens to the stupid elf The Dark Guardian walks past the whole thing like it happens every day. Ocheeva wins and I go to her to get my assignment, with Ocheeva calmly sitting there with an arrow through her eye.

However I did get some good stuff off Telaendril's body.

I still have no idea what that was about. :unsure2:

Hatchling rivalry?

:lmao:

But it was Telaendril, not Teinaava. :P

I think these things are what make Oblivion great. The world lives on even without direct interaction with the player. NPCs have their own moments, and you get to make up the story yourself, or just shrug and move on. The AI is never completely predictable.

That happened to meet too. I'm not sure if it was with Telaendril (it might have been) but I'I'm pretty sure Ocheeva was involved.

Who would have thought that psychopathic cultist serial killers would act weird like that

Oops, my bad! For some reason I pictured Ocheeva and her brother going at it and envisioned trouble among the Shadowscales. I've encountered the dead body of Telaendril along the roads in a couple games. I guess her black PJ's didn't help that much vs bear or wolf.

Usually when I've found her dead by the road in my game it's been because joined in a fight against a wolf or bear or troll and accidentally shot an Imperial Guard instead.

I thought for a minute that Myrvryna had followed me into the Sanctuary, since I'd just gotten out of jail, but there was no sign of her or her body, and she showed up somewhere else shortly after that. All I can figure is that Telaendril was sneaking around and stole an apple or something.

Yeah, I love this stuff. I've encountered Imperial Guards going at it with each other before. Funnily enough both were just standing there shooting arrows.

I think what had happened is they had been after a bandit/wolf and one hit the other by accident, but, as someone already mentioned, it is fun to make up your own ideas for how it happened.
