No it is not. Knives aren't OHK and there aren't assassination moves either.

No backstabs
No OHKs

Only someone wielding a pistol can use a knife.

Well a knife attack will kill an unbuffed light. Beyond that we can only speculate.

Battle Hardened.

Available with your first level-up (watch the turorials for 2).

Adds a health pip.

I think most skilled Lights will be doing this just in case.

Or bringing a Medic with them.

Or being a Medic (buff self for extra health).

Yeah, if you're rolling Light, you just about NEED Battle Hardened.

On the flip side, if you don't take it and opt for another ability, you get one more ability than the average light, and die much much much faster, since one-hit-kills exist.

Capturing certain command posts also grants a health buff. A health buff that Engineers can double. :shifty:

It's going to be pretty unlikely that anyone will be getting insta-killed, even as a Light. Especially since you only get the Light bodytype at level 7, long after being able to purchase Battle Hardened.

but remeber they can outrun a turret shooting at them, so I assume they're pretty hard to hit. On the knifing issue, any melee to any bodytype is a knockdown, at which point you will be forced to shoot them because another melee would result in another knockdown.

Ummm...

Knives don't knock enemies down, hitting them with a gunbutt does.

And any melee (knife or otherwise) on a knocked-down enemy will incapacitate regardless of health (but they can get back up straight away - they just have to choose between that and shooting).

That's a shame. I kind of wish you had the option to do an OHK execution. There's always a risk when you have to shoot someone from behind that they'll be able to turn around and kill you. It would be nice if there were execution moves for every weapon. What do you guy s think?

Strongly disagree, sorry. I prefer Brink's take on melee to execution moves.

They avoided that on purpose.

When you die, you should know why you died, how you died, and that you could have done something about it.

If that isn't the case, then they've failed in their goal.

Funny since I plan on doing both and capturing health CP Asap.

Yes Wraith, I know your plan is the same one I already had before we met (except your backup is Engi instead of Medic, and you're taking the "bring one" option instead of "be one").

And yes, I forgot to mention health CPs in my post. Thanks for adding that, guys. And if you have an Engineer, double the bonus.
