Not talking about hi-tech power armor. But how about heavy metal armor that resembles knights in medieval ages? Would be good armor in Fallout world, and I'm sure there are plenty of them to be found in museums, plus shouldn't be too hard to make if medieval armorers can do it. The current metal armor seems too light.

I'm sure it can be modified. Good protection against claws and blades.

I wasn't really impressed with the armor in this game, i usually use the standard combat armor for aesthetic reasons or the reinforced leather armor for the same reason. I'll use the recon armor from time to time as well. Or for a final piece of decent armor the Van graff combat armor cause it reminds me of talon company :sadvaultboy:

The old style armour would not work. As in just metal not power armour like platemail, plate and chainmail. Or people would use it instead of other armours sometimes. Chainmail would sell out the shops if it worked in the mw. Old style armour was not meant to stop a bullet or energy weapons as well. Or all maybe. It could stop claws or teeth maybe. But it was only meant to stop melee weapons and arrows and crossbow bolts.
The armour in fallout games is made to stop all weapons.
Power armour is a futuristic mecha armour that is like platemail or plate.
