I would say probobly not with a huge quest line just a set of random repeatable quests basicly holy warriors fighting to help people. Possibly trying to fight the dragons with spears arrows and nets. I would like a small chapter similar to the fighters guild in a few places probobly in a roadside chaple that could be fort like. I mean after all they are a knightly order. Would they be atacked in the cival war?

Maybe you don't want to be a "self righteous, goodie two shoes" but not everyone sticks to playing only as evil characters. I play a mix of good, neutral, and evil depending on which character I created specifically for a certain route of moral choices.

As I mentioned before, crusade doesn't have just one meaning. Because of this, the term crusade fit the KotN perfectly. I'm not even going to go into this thing you mentioned about monotheism because religion is such a touchy subject. Just because a chapel looks similar to another chapel of another faith doesn't mean it is a "Catholic chapel".

There's only one religion that's ever existed that makes churches that look exactly like that. It can't be anything else besides a "Catholic Chapel". I think Bethesda needs to be a little more original. The empire's religion is a unique religion, they should have unique temples. They don't even have statues to their goods for crying out load. Why would a temple to the god of time look the same as the temple to the god of healing? It is all is rather contradictory.

Never liked the "Everything that is against us is evil" theme. Played KoTN only for the armor and all the advantages with it.

A good thing about Knights of the Nine, however, is Pelinal Whitestrake.

I would pay over a million just to quote the person who said that Pelinal Whitestrake was genocidal maniac on acid.

Of course they can be influenced by Christianity, but they should make it a little less obvious. Maybe have a made up word that means crusade. When it comes to the churches I just don't think literally having a Catholic chapel makes any sense. Chapels are designed from the ground up for monotheism and they seem really out of place in a religion that worships many gods. I think each temple should have it's own look that reflects the personality of its patron god.

Thing about Oblivion is that the pseudo-roman Cyrodills therein weren't actually pseudo-romans, but generic Arthurian/Matter of France -derived ponces. As such, their religion was just Catholicism with multiple full-blown deities depicted in in the stained glass, as if the Roman State Cult had survived into the medieval period. But even then, they didn't go far enough- I kept wanting frescoes depicting Arkay's Apotheosis or Aka giving Alessia the amulet on her deathbed.

But anyway...

Consider the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massacre_of_Verden where Charlemagne massacred pagan Saxons for, amongst other things, refusal to convert to Christianity. Charlemagne, I feel I should mention, is responsible for the very first paladins. In any case, I think that if the Knights of the Nine were to be included in Skyrim, they should be there in a worship the Nine or die capacity.

There shouldn't be any organization representing the eight or however many they have now. Organizations need to reflect the henotheistic culture of tamriel and shy away from lumping gods together. They may be in the same pantheon, but they aren't all friends.

What if the new adventure was with the knights that say Ni? The quest would be asking you to get a shrubbery. They then change their names to the Knight who says Eki eki eki eki-baKang-Zoop-Boing gun zao oozoo then to pass the test and find another shrubbery and cut down the mightiest tree in the forrest with a herring. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0e2kaQqxmQ0
