@Talon95, thanks for the input, I agree, My intention was to point out most of what you say, I am an extreme Crytek fan, long time fan of PC gaming in general, and OK so in the main, FPS. The first Computer I laid my sticky mits on was Sinclair ZX81.
I have been registered on a good few forums, from Gaming, through to the Regimental asscn forum, and so I can see what you mean about well developed friendships and backgrounds, and throughout, have wished to acknowledge my fellow seasoned veteran gamers.
I can use both console or PC, and so far I prefer my fellow PC Gamers, and its very easy to identify the new influx of arrogant know it all types, I hate that kind of attitudethat we have clearly and repeatedly seen here. from both console and PC gamers alike.
My son, plays console, but from the first day of Crysis and taking over my PC to play it, has longed for the day he can play crysis 2 "when it finally gets released" on what I call, his Eggbox 360.
Look at your para.
The problem is when the young players think they know more and troll over the seasoned veterans of the franchise. This is why we need that badge recognition system. With the system, the newer members can clearly see who is more "wise" and knows more, so the new members will think twice before they oppose their position..
You my friend are young .... and you do no more than a lot of people twice your age, fact without doubt, but you cannot assume, to know more than a new member just down to not knowing them, that is not so wise, and please, i mean no dissrespect in that
I have seen for myself on a couple of occasions, how seasoned vets, can react just as badly as noobs, so I still maintain my position on where do you draw the line for a badge.
Again, the only official mention of recognition so far was to early sign ups, here from the get go i think was used, The idea of a form of recognition for the members of the previouse gamesas is not so far as I know, an official idea. Perhaps It should be. Then
If someone signed up in the last two months of the old site, and they are complete arrogant buttholes who know absolutely nothing, they qualify for the badge that is now being unaficially proposed here.
So, as i have said, this is where the problems arise, so might I then suggest some dialogue between all those who require this recognition, and CryTek, to a satisfactory conclusion, as I do not have any idea how this can be resolved.
Safe to say, In true battle, a badge of any kind of staus would never be worn by a wise peron. for myself, Im quite happy to go with the whole idea, and I can allready hear whispers of who cares what you think, from some people. if I wanted advice, a badge would mean diddly squat to me, I would simply ask.
My only intention being to point out the problems that may arise, without offending anyone, I respect you all as fellow gamers,
