@CryAdam Why are you quick to lock my thread but so slow on answering a few simple questions. IF you dont know the answers then find out and let us know please?
Spamming the forums won't get you an answer any quicker. Moderation of the forum is my main duty and currently it's taking up almost my entire day trying to keep this forum in order.

Tom has made a response in this thread here: http://www.gamesas.com/forums/post102880.html#p102880

Any follow-ups to this will come as this information becomes available. We're trying to get you guys as much information as possible and trying to answer your questions as quickly as possible so please bear with us :)

Cheers.

Shouldn't it be as simple as walking into the studio, and asking the recessionary people? Or maybe someone already in the studio (Not community management) can reply?

Thank you for the status update Adam.

The ignoramus oldgoat obviously did not read the OP before saying misinformed ****. OldGoat, go back to your dang Xbox if you have nothing of value to contribute to this thread. The number of people who can't even bother to read the original post before calling us "crybabies" and "brats" is astounding, and truly shows why humanity is nothing more than a smelly heap of mediocrity. Crytek can gladly due without the PC community, but not without going bankrupt first. This issue is not only complained about by the couple dozen of us here, but the millions that have been angered by Crytek's overall lack of attention to its multiplatform development.

I mean come on Crytek, you couldn't even announce DX11 support without some Nvidia PR to announce it for you, leaving us to dig for it. Meanwhile anything Xbpx related will be proudly flaunted on the front page. You ignore us at your own risk, Crytek.

Any valuable and constructive comments are welcome. If you can't bother yourself to read the OP, then don't bother to post here.

I have a few problems with the demo. Since i have played Crysis 1 i had huge expectations for the game. When i heard it was coming to Xbox i though "Yes! a game i can play on my Xbox with a lot of my friends that is not a rip of or is Call of Duty" I have played the demo to death trying to find some reason to buy the game from it but if the multi-player is just going to be call of duty then there is no point, as i already have that game.

1. The game should have been like Crysis 1 Multi-player.
2. Kill streaks was a bad idea, i preferred using my own vehicles.
3. If it is Nano-suit 2.0 how come it's worse?
4. Why does the demo say i permanently have 4 bars out of 4 bars connection to cover up that it is lagging?
5. If you are hitting someone so hard with a gun to kill them should it not brake? (not my idea)
6. Why is there a need for single-shot mode if you need to unload an entire clip to a persons chest to kill them(without armour power on)
7. Why is the game not called "Call of Crynet"?
8. Why is the map really small? I do not remember maps that small on Crysis 1
9. I noticed somewhere that a sandbox editor will not be released. Why is this?
10. I understand that since Call of Duty is successful Crysis 2 should have some aspects of it. But not become a carbon copy of the game!

Crysis 1 set the bar way too high, i am beginning to think a good console release is impossible.

Don't bother guys. Its obvious that at least for Crysis 2, they have dumped the PC and even the PS2. Their focus is on the weakest, cheapest machine, the XBox. I guess they think they'll make a ton of money off of violent 8 year olds. Personally, I wouldn't want a young kid playing this. Luckily, for us advlts with PCs, Cryteks US Studio - RealTime Immersive - has shown us what the CE3 engine really can do. Massive maps that look like they could support real flight sims. So, while I think Crysis 2 is garbage, hopefully, they'll come out with something more like a massive Crysis Wars in the future.

Anybody who bought Black Ops for the PC or PS3 can probably see whats coming with this game.... A crappy port from the Xbox. I'll pass on this one. At least with KZ 3 I won't have to worry about developers catering to Microsoft.

I felt it and that is why I haven't respond to any of the reactions here. Had to keep my mouth shut(was hard), but here we go:

Twitter:
"Crysis At this time, Crytek & EA are glad to confirm that we'll be releasing a pre-launch Crysis 2 multiplayer demo on PC! Stay tuned for details. "

Source: http://twitter.com/Crysis

Alright, we miss one console, but the PC version is covered up soon.

the PC demo has been announced which is a HUGE step towards equal marketing. I applaud Crytek and EA for taking our considerations seriously, or having planned this out earlier and just now coming out with it.

Still, the PS3 is being left in the dark, so those of you who own PS3's can feel free to continue to comment about lack of marketing/demo for your platform, as it really is a shame.

ok so we "got" PC and what about PS 3 demo? :D:D i must say that i dont have good feeling from it because its look like it was only because of hard forum "spaming" and yelling around and thats make me sad, it was not done equally for all platforms but maybe for shutting finally our mouths, for what else we will need yelling next time? :(

(PS3 users) If you check the Twitter account you see on the left something written there.
http://twitter.com/Crysis

"M.P. Demo now available"
We never know what would happen, if we also get a PS3 one.

Burn it on a disk, visit a local pc shop and see if they install it.
An excuse can be made SO easy in shops :)

Think, before you post.

I'm mainly annoyed that the gamesas community won't get its promised exclusive beta test. instead we get a "demo" i.e. a finished product, and we don't get to participate in the major bug-hunting...

Trust me Isidore, if this demo is anything like the Xbox one, there will be plenty, if not more, bugs to report. ;)

I don't think every should be hating like this. Be happy that they at least released a demo so that they could find faults within the game, not like another game we all know too well, Black Ops. Up to now, treyarch is still patching and tweaking the game, stuff that should have been done with the beta we never had. I myself have a ps3. I really don't mind not playing Crysis 2 because there are still lots of faults with it. Think of it this way, Crytek are using all the xbox 360 players as guinea pigs to find faults within the game, all the ps3 and pc users get the proper final version.

FYI, I was just informed by one of our RSP's that a PC demo was already planned since October last year...

AND we're defo getting dedicated servers. 6v6 is a bummer though.

A PC demo was not the only concern voiced in the OP but i'll leave it up to Talon whether or not he thinks the thread is still warranted and if the answers to questions he still seeks have been given :)

Perhaps a better idea would be to take a breather, wait for the PC demo and then if you've got new questions you wish to have answers on, post up a new thread.

Thanks for the heads-up, Cry-Adam.

Now i don't know what caused this sudden demo announcement, the community uproar, or it was already planned and we were a bit 'concerned', (i know it's not the right word to use for this, but.. :-) ) but either way, THANK YOU!

Yes all for the respect for Talon. Maybe he can pick out the remaining 'issues/points' and make a new thread.

Cry-Adam, am I wrong that a demo will take like 2,5months and needs to be approved (also) by E.A. ?
