Well I have run out of things to try. I need help. I was unsure of where else to go with this, so I will come here.

I need a program to convert files in large amounts at once (Or in a 'batch'). From .wav to .ogg and back. Since I make my audio recordings, and save them as Ogg. But then when I get enough of them built up, I am going to convert them all to .wav and make .lip files for all of them. Its faster than recording one, making a lip, saving, converting, saving, moving. But I googled 'Free Batch Audio Converter' and all sorts of combinations of those and similiar words, but cant find one. They all either cost money, or only do Mp3 to wav and visa versa. Can anyone help here?

Sorry if this is 'off topic', but its for voice files for the mod and I use the Geck to make the mod, so I figured it counted.

@ mooguy - Well first that cost 20 bucks for the full version, the trial only allows for 10 conversions, I am doing hundreds. Also, I think it can only do one at a time, and I have 500 other programs to do that already. I need one that can do it in batch. (Lots of them at once) Thanks for posting though.

@ Troy_O - I already use that. But as far as I can tell, there is no way to batch convert at once. I need to be able to convert like 50 files at once. With audacity you import, export, over and over for each file and it takes FOREVER. So I need a different program.

It sounds like you're going to have to do it the hard way instead of converting them all at once.

I know another program that lets you put the files in a list and it will convert one then the next so on..so on..but you will end up with the original files + the converted files.

Thats exactly what I want! And its better than it erasing the originals. I need the .ogg as the actual sound I distribute and the player hears, this is what I start with, and the wav to make the lip files for the NPC's to move their mouths when they speak. These will later be discarded.

What is it called and is it free?

I never got the batch processing in Audacity to work. But there is a easy way to convert several files. Load your wav files as tracks in one project and use 'Export Multiple...'. You still have to make one click per file/track for this stupid description header but it makes it a lot easier as if you work with one file at a time.

DOOOH! I did not see that button! This is perfect. It does add a space then a 1 to the end of the name but that does not matter as I rename them to make lip files anyway. Thank you so much sesom, this will work perfectly for me now!!
