Ok, I know I'm dead so just let me load my save already!

In both OB and FO3 when you die it does into this crazy annoying third person death scene where you watch your dead rag doll flop around, while some death music plays. Then after your rag doll flops over you get to stare at your dead body, because it's supposed to be dramatic or something, for like 5-10 seconds before the load save menu opens. When I die I don't care about staring at my dead body flop, I just want to load my save and DESTROY the thing that had the nerve to kill me. It's gets especially annoying when your have to do the same fight over and over because you keep losing. It makes the process last twice as long because you spend so much time staring a rag doll rolling down a hill. It is single handily capable of making me rage quit. A death sceen shouldn't do that.

Now there does have to be some short of death scene becasue otherwise you get the "What the hell just happened, why am I dead!" moments happening, but the scene shouldn't take too long or it gets annoying. They need to change the process. I liked Morrwinds death scene the best. Your charactor just falls backwards and the second you hit the ground the load save page instantly loads, no sitting and waiting for it to come up.

Dunno why but I laughed sooo hard. Anyway I know how you feel, especially with the annoying load time oblivion has.

As a first-person player, i'd rather the screen just went black the moment I die... perhaps with a gentle *thud* sound effect in the background.

I clocked a death scene once. In OB I watched my dead body roll down a hill for 30 secs. I just kept rolling and rolling. It would have been funny if it won't for the fact that I had died several times before. The time always varies though it's not really set, don't know what controls it. It doesn't even matter how long it actually takes, all that matters it how long it feels for the player. If the player thinks it's to long then you designed something wrong.

I wanna watch my body ragdoll down the mountain and still have to watch it until it decomposes to nothing or the animals eat it and then once EVERY piece is gone, then I want to load it. There should not be an option to skip this.

In most cases, you could just pause and reload in the middle of the animation. It was fairly common that I had to wait for it to end though.

I play at max difficulty and I have a habit of attacking things I'm not capable of taking on. (I always prevail in the end. If it takes me 100 tries so be it.)

I use quicksave all the time so I just press F9 to load my game while the death animation is still playing.

Alternatively you can hit ESC at any time and hit load and go to the load screen, so they don't need to change anything. Hope this helps.

Well you see it's not only a problem of the scene itself, the menu also takes too long to come up even after it's triggered. They need to streamline the code or something. Of course Skyrim will be different, but it might have the same problem, who knows.
