I know I'm not supposed to enable you [Bethesda]

I know, I know I shouldn't be doing this. I just thought it might be useful to tell you, you big beautiful game making machine, that if you so chose to make a multiplayer (not even an indepth one) I would fully support you and even pay additional currency (of your choosing). Even a basic Multiplayer, such as... I don't know... SuperMutant Waves in various locations? This is just between you and I, don't tell EA or Cousin Dice.

I don't want a horde mode or team vs team

But I wouldn't mind a little drop in coop

I don't understand why drop in co-op would be such a big deal after the main questline has been completed.

It's probably the engine. I don't think it's designed to support multi-player.

I don't think it does either, and I can definitely live without it. I just don't understand why people are strictly against it.

multiplayer: no. absolutely no.

co-op? Co-op could be interesting. Even just the ability to go walk around a friend's version of the wasteland and visit his bases.

Personally I wish there was a co-op option. I would really like to some friends my cool settlements and co-op though the game would be neat. Stuff pvp their are tons of games for pvp that are mostly dribble.

It just wouldn't work with the existing mechanics. How would they handle faction relationships? If I wipe out the BoS and my buddy jumps in that sided with them, now he's against them? It just wouldn't make sense with the way things are done now. Asking for drop in co-op would be definitely mean cutting stuff that is already there. Then we'd have even more complain threads. I'm fine with there being no MP/co op

What? They wouldn't have to cut anything.

The how would they handle the situation I mentioned? If I sided with the Institute and my buddy sided with the BoS, he jumped into my game, what relationships are intact? What dictates which quests we can play together?

Nope it would work fine and has been done fine in ummm every other co-op game ever made...

Easy option is to have it like the fable games. Your co-op partner joins your world as a henchman were you make the decisions and they help in your world. Like wise when you join their game.

Why would it matter what he did with factions? It could be like Dark Souls. When you spawn into someone else game, you're in their game. What you've done in yours would be irrelevant. They wouldn't need to cut anything.

They would be a ride along.

I'm not talking Divinity: Original Sin quality coop here.

The host controls everything, the coop partner helps you kill things and their stats could possibly influence skill checks. If you're enemies with a faction, they are too. Their world state is irrelevant in YOUR game.
