I know sprinting is confirmed

As sprinting has been confirmed, does that apply to stealth as well? Has that part been confirmed?

I know it’s a little thing but it would make the game so much better I think. Instead of having to get out of stealth to dart across the room for more cover say, obviously you would more likely to be seen when sprinting it stealth but if you executed right it would pay off, like knowing the person is about to turn around and see you so sprint up to them a kill them before your spotted ect.

A perk of stealth maybe?

Your thoughts on this? Other ways it could be implemented perhaps?

I like it, it would have to be louder than sneaking, but quieter than running. It would be a neat way to start a battle, or just for moving from cover to cover.

I'm not sure if you'll be able to Sprint while Sneaking. If you can though it should make a lot of noise when you do so.

This.

Or at least make it either skill or perk based meaning the higher your skill the less noise you make while sprinting in stealth or a high-end perk that allows you to do so very quietly.

A perk in Stealth/Sneak that allows you to Sprint while Sneaking sounds like a good idea.

It would be also very useful for following some one through the wilderness undetected. If they got a little to far ahead you could catch up to them without leaving stealth mode.

It would end up looking sort of like the roadie-run in Gears of War so I don't know if I'd like it. But there is that one dragon shout that you whisper that teleports you closer to a target or location of your choosing. I'd rather go with that.

How would a sprint be quieter than a run?

It didn't make sense to me. Sprinting is focusing totally in going faster.

True. I had completely forgotten about that. I'd rather just have that as well.

Think sprinting breaks stealth but the enemy would have a reaction time.
Think of a lion or similar sneaking up on prey, if you are a couple of meters away the enemy fails to react and you get the sneak bonus, 5 meters and you don't get the sneak bonus but the enemy is not ready, 10 meter and the enemy has time to raise the shield but not cast spell or shoot arrows after you before you hit.

I can see something like this. Lets say sprint is a short term +100% burst in speed. Stealth has you move at %50 base speed which increases as you level. Sprinting while stealthed would be at +100% of that 1/2 speed so basically bring you up to normal speed. As you improved in stealth you base stealth speed would increase so the +100% sprint speed would eventually have you go faster than you normal move but probably never as fast as a full on sprint, if you want that you have to leave stealth. While stealth sprinting you are at 1/2 skill for determining how well hid you are.

Yes a lot like this really. Would work well I think, a small thing but would make a big difference to the way you approach things.

I bet it would look ridiculous, and I'd have a good laugh seeing stealth NPCs sprint-sneaking towards me.

My guess is it'll probably just take you out of sneak mode when you sprint. I can't think of a way to have them both at the same time and NOT look completely ridiculous.

Sprinting is a full on run. It may as well be the opposite of sneak.

Sprinting while stealthed should be a high level sneak perk. Basically turns you into a ninja, like in Fallout 3.

Not being able to hustle when sneaking would feel more ridiculous to me.

If you want to move faster while sneaking, you can just run. Full on sprinting while sneaking seems a bit ridiculous.

What looks completely ridiculous is the sneak animation from Morrowind and Oblivion. Since when did a person have to be half-crouching like they're pooping their pants to be sneaking around? Sneaking is about being quiet, moving through the shadows or cover, and staying out of people's field of vision. Its NOT about some ridiculous squatting position.

I say get read of the sneak mode. It never made sense.

Or, if you press the sprint button while in stealth mode, it would allow you to execute a roll that could be a life saver in some places. Since you're not going to be wearing heavy armor (hopefully) it wouldn't make alot of noise and it would be useful to get into cover.

I wouldn't mind being able to "sprint" in stealth mode, but:

You should receive a penalty to your stealth/sneak.
Your speed would be slower than running while not in stealth (since while sneaking you already move at a slower pace.)
Possibly sprinting in stealth draining your fatigue/stamina at a higher rate than sprinting when not in stealth.

While I agree the animations leave a lot to be desired, get rid of sneak mode? And eliminate being able to play as a covert type of character? Surely not!
