knowing and changing load order in Wry Bash

Post » Sun Jan 17, 2010 7:28 am

Need soe help! New to PC Gaming and started with Oblivion. Read on numerous forums about OOO (have 1.33) which led me to Wrye Bash. Then found UOP. Everywhere it says load UOP before OOO. I have read, re-read and triple read the wrye Bash page and still can't figure out how to get UOP.esp to load before OOO.esm...but can't even be sure that is what I am supposed to do. If someone helps me figure out how to change load order - or what is right for UOP and OOO - i also would like to get QTP3 Redimized, any other mods that make oblivion look and sound better (more realisitc) and figure their mod order -- and then figure out what the heck to do with bash patch. I have a few different characters and savegames going that I would like to use with the best possible game with the least (5 or 6) mods. THANKs FOR ANY HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are a few different ways to do it. The first is to click on the ESP whose timestamp you want to change. Then, in the Modified area of the column on the right, type in the new date and time you want. Click save down on the bottom. You're done.

Another is to right-click on the column head above the mods, to bring up a menu. Choose Sort List, and then, Load Order. Click on the file you want to move. Hold down CTRL, and use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move ESPs up or down.

If you are just using OOO and UOP, it is best to load UOP before the OOO ESP file.

If you are using a bunch of mods, I recommend using a tool called BOSS (short for Better Oblivion Sorting Software). This tool can be downloaded http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20516

esp's can't load before esm's. The UOP.esp should rather load before OOO.esp.

As Arkngt said;
You can not load esps before esms, period. (And nor should you ever want to.)

My simple advice:
Use http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1074965 to set your load order for you. Such details as you describe are already taken into account.
