Simple solution: visit http://www.kotaku.com.au. Has a nice design and is maintained by the fabulous Mark Serrels, who is simply better than all of the Kotaku US writers combined. Not saying that as some sort of nationalistic pride idiocy, just that the Kotaku US writers are really, really bad. Especially Stephen Totoro or whatever his name is.

I'm okay with the overall change, but I'm annoyed that they still have a [censored] gallery.

Can't even enter kotaku now. If you try, it redirects you to gizmodo instead.

Its the whole Gawker news network. They started it on the less popular feeds like Io9 and then moved it to Jalopnik and Kotaku. Im waiting for Gawker itself to get it...then all hell will brake loose in their community.

Someone mentioned going to the australian one, but its kind of different.

I read Gizmodo and this new layout bugs me too. Switching to blog view (the little newspaper beside "Top Story") makes it a bit more bearable.

I just use the mobile version, the only time I check Kotaku is on my phone.

If I surf mobile Google Reader, and try to enter a Gawker site from there, it will just link me to the main page, annoying... :brokencomputer:
