As the title says. I commenced the pilgrimage quest in KotN, and after visiting just the first wayshrine (arkay, IIRC), the vision of pelinal appeared without having to visit any other wayshrines. I'm wondering, is this meant to happen? I would have thought, as the quest indicates, it's only supposed to happen after visiting all the wayshrines, *after* the quest starts. Not as what appears to be the case when I played it, including visits to wayshrines before the KotN pilgrimage stage is even started.

I've looked at the scripts attached to each wayshrine, and sure enough, it appears to set a variable indicating wayshrine has been visited even while the KotN pilgrimage quest hasn't started. Thus producing the behaviour I've described if you've visited wayshrines before starting KotN.

I've searched to see if anyone has reported this before, and I haven't found any mention of it. Is it a bug, or is it supposed to be this way?

If you had been playing before, and had visited most of the other wayshrines, it will just complete the pilgramage when you start the KotN questline.

Thanks. It must have just been by chance that the only wayshrine I hadn't visited before was the first one. It just seemed silly, after hearing the prophet ranting on about being a worthy knight, getting all psyched up to go on a grand quest of purification across all the wilds of Cyrodiil, and I go to the first wayshrine down the road, and suddenly I'm worthy... :rolleyes:

Only provided you have zero infamy. If you have even one point of infamy, you must do the shrine visits all over again. Sounds like you've been a good law-abiding citizen.

If one has visited all the wayshrines before picking up the "pilgrimage" quest, the vision is triggered by the next visit to any wayshrine. So it wasn't necessarily true that you hadn't visited that shrine.

Why would you have to go on a pilgrimage to do what you had already done? Let's face it, you're plenty worthy already!
