The ghost should've attacked you after the conversation. He would've said the following:

'Let me tell you this. Whatever a person was in life, in death it must be forgotten.

How can it be honourable to mock those who have no opportunity to defend themselves? Bah! You are the scrote and I'm going to prove it!'

Then he attacks you.

Use the following console commands:

setstage povssICWaterfrontQuest 35 (no need to use capital letters)

to get the last journal entry. Then click on the ghost with the console and type:

startcombat player

Kill it, and you're done.

I just received the Elven Ring quest (

getting the first ring at the waterfall next to Shadows Rest Cavern
. This part of the quest makes me wish for a 'detect item' spell or a quest arrow. I have searched that waterfall and can't find the ring. I even opened the mod up in the Construction Set to find the resting place, but neither ring is where the mod places it?
Any suggestions on how I can complete this (or if there is some sort of Detect Item spell I can obtain)?

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14316 adds a couple spells that might help with that. You'll have to buy them, though, and without a high Mysticism skill, you'll likely be casting it over and over again, and the range will be kinda sort. But the mod is a godsend IMO, it has spells to help you detect almost any type of item, from simple potions to magic items, and I think the one you'll want to be using is either Detect Clothing or Detect Magic Items(if the ring is enchanted).

Yes! I'm totally baffled, too, as to where the ring might be. I have been away from Oblivion for a couple of months, and I just played again tonight, only to find that (haha) I STILL can't find the elven ring near Shadow's Rest. Any hints would be brilliant...

and I can't believe there's a V.2 coming out!! SO EXCITING.

I have a problem with Ungarion, the merchant in Bravil. The quest stages he has been involved in work fine...but he no longer has the option to buy and sell things. Any ideas on how I can restore this?

Thanks for the tip. After installing this mod, and using the 'Minor Detect Magic Item' spell, I found both rings at the bottom of the waterfall, not near the top as depicted in Povuholo's screencap. I can only guess either my character or a monster knocked the rings off the ledge.

Other than giving him a few lines of dialogue Kragenir's Death Quest does not alter him directly at all. The mod can't have done this. Are you sure you were talking to him during the hours he offers his services (8am-8pm)? Maybe it's just a random glitch, does he still not offer his services if you come back a few days later?

I am not certain. Every time I have visited Ungarion during 'business hours', the buy/sell icon is missing.

I just looked in the Construction Set and it doesn't show a * behind Ungarion's editor ID, meaning that the mod has not altered it. I doubt you'd be able to find anything with TES4Edit. But you could have a look at the dialogue. Which quest were you doing? IIRC Ungarion is used in 2 quests.

I did both quests which involved Ungarion (the guy with the multiple 'wives' and the Robe of Lust quest). I haven't visited Bravil since. Next time I play I will pay Ungarion a visit.

I sneaked into the basemant of Umbacano Manor, and found the body.
Is there a quest trigger? Do I need to trip the next quest trigger before I can go to the other place mentioned in the book about the sword?

EDIT: Found out I didn't need a quest trigger. I went to 'the other place' and have embarked on yet another key scavenger hunt. Joy!

Fieldhouse Cave and Sage Glen Hollow. You need both. The one in Sage Glen Hollow is on the second level (Sage Glen Hideaway), in a room in the cave with a bedroll, a table with alchemical equipment, shelves and some other things. The bone is on a large stone next to one of the torches in the room. This stone, I see now, is floating above the ground slightly... *fixes*

The one in Fieldhouse Cave is on the third level of the cave (Black Balconies). The bone is in the higher part of the large room there, on a large stone with two candles on the sides.

I don't remember this quest right now... But it has been a while. How exactly did it start in Faregyll Inn? Was it a document you found, or a person you talked to? As far as I can see I haven't added anything to that inn.

I've been improving the 'An Inflammatory Letter' quest, with quest markers, quest updates and a better reward. As Dwip said, the quest as it is now is an unrewarding mess. And I agree. :P

That sounds like a good idea, especially since the file is going to be even bigger when I release the update. If you could create a template for me to work with, I can do the rest. Could you also make it so that by clicking on the quest name, all the questions and spoiler-protected answers for that quest are revealed, instead of having a long document with all the question/answer text showing right away? That would make the whole thing a lot better organized.

Hopefully someone can give me a simple fix for this... I don't have time to read the subtitles because they disappear too fast! They're on screen for about 1-2 seconds and then they end... I think there's a mod out there that adds silent files but I can't seem to find it. I would really appreciate any help because I can't really enjoy the mod if I can't read the dialogue.

I had forgotten about this one. It has sat neglected in my journal for ages. (It might well be the first Kragenir quest I began.) I'm on the phase that says "...east of Nornalhorst...". But that's an awfully big area. Much of Cyrodiil, including Bruma, IC, and Leyawiin, is east of Nornalhorst. It that what is meant? If so I will certainly search there, exhaustive as that might be (and not knowing what I'm looking for other than "treasure"). Or does "...east of Nornalhorst..." in this case mean " more-or-less straight east from Nornalhorst somewhere in its general vacinity"? I've called myself doing a fairly thorough search of the immediate area east of Nornalhorst, but have so far found nothing but two underwater chests that contain nothing but a bit of money and lockpicks.

I'm not necessarily looking for a spoiler here. Just clarification on what is meant by "...east of Nornalhorst..." and maybe a subtle hint if there is glitches to watch out for.

Oh, I will point out that I use New Roads & Bridges, which adds a road that runs just south of Nornalhorst and an Inn with stable not far to its east, as well as Faregyl Village, an expansion to the Faregyl Inn area, also not terribly far east of Nornalhorst. I hope neither of these interfere with Lee Lines. I doubt it, since something surely have been said by now.

I'm been told to go get a good and evil object from the aboratoreum (sp). I think I found one (some sort of enchanted mushroom(or garlic)) right in the center area. But I can't locate any other item and my journal entry hasn't changed. So, any help in what to look for would be appreciated.
Also, even though I picked up that enchanted mushroom/garlic, it still keeps making those magical sparkles in the air. Hopefully, that's supposed to do that : )

I like it so much I might just delete the mod to start over if I've messed something up (or, install your version 2 : )

You're not the first to have some problems with this section. I'll see if I can make this part easier to follow.

You already talked to Dralora Athram and got the good item (make sure you've picked up all 3 pieces of garlic. The sparkles will disappear later). Thamriel also said that for one of the items you need to ask someone in the house of Mathias Draconis about their dreams. Three people live there. Mathias Draconis himself, Lurio Maenius and Collatinus Vedius.

Some problems with my game. I have the letter from Andre, but Ra'jhan won't accept it - the topic to give it to him doesn't appear. Also, in Mauve the Buxom's house when I go to open the chest both the inventory and the notification that the key openedd the chest come up at the same time, with the result that I can't do anything; I can scroll over potions and scrolls and see what they do, but I can't pick them up and I can't exit the inventory; I have to reload an eaerlier save.

Any ideas on how to fix these?
