[Relz]Kragenir's Death Quest 1.06 (Thread 6)

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 1:17 am

Actually I think I'm using a new copy of Heinz here with a different ID, so it would make sense you can't find the old one with the console. Still, I don't get why you wouldn't be able to find the new Heinz. Try this console command:

player.moveto XX023286

Where XX are the load order numbers/letters of the mod in your load order, or the first two letters of the ID of any object added by Kragenir's Death Quest that appears when you select it with the console.

I went back to an earlier save at Bramblepoint cave. I picked up Iplanderin's glowing note, read it and got the quest update about remembering someone in Bravil. I immediately tried your suggestion, and was transported to a spot in Bravil down and around the corner from Silverhome. No Heinz.
Do you have any other ideas? I do, by the way, appreciate the time you are spending on this!

One more.

Try: XX023286.enable

If for some reason Heinz was still disabled, this should make him appear. Then you can use 'player.moveto XX023286' again to teleport yourself to him.

I found the chest in the Lee Lines quest, but it's locked! I never got a key for it, and I don't know who would have one. Help me out? :sadvaultboy:

...and there'll also be a http://s18.photobucket.com/albums/b120/iamerik/?action=view¤t=SpoilerPreview2.jpg with solutions for the more difficult quests and frequently asked questions.

Aww, it's not nice to tease like that. My hopes were dashed when I found it was just a picture

So. I have stumbled my way through the MQ and am in the process of mopping up the dwarves... but I can't find Doc. He wasn't with the rest in their new cave. I know I met him earlier on during one of the sub quests but can't remember where—besides he took off at the end of that one and I have no idea where he went.

Then I got the brilliant idea of loading the construction set (which I have never used before) to find his FormID so I could find him that way. Well that went well. I don't fancy spending several days learning how to use it.

Any way, so now I'm asking: Where the heck is the little guy?

I believe that is one of the problems that will be fixed with V2. That is the problem I was having, also. Oh yeah...by V2, I mean version 2, not the Nazi missile.

You need to have the http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=26219 installed. If you're already at the point that you need to get it, use the console command 'setstage povssquestdwarven 82' to fix it.

Yes it has been fixed for the update. For now he may still be at the Ayleid ruin of Bawn where you last met him during the Gauntlets of Gluttony quest.

Meanwhile Malchik is dumping a crapload of bug reports from the new quests on me, as expected. :brokencomputer:

What's left to do:

  • Finishing the Cluttermonkey faction quests
  • Improving Tension in Town quest
  • Some rumour tweaks
  • Fix a crashing issue for Sleepy's quest when the player is a vampire edit: This was a pain in the butt and took about an hour, but I fixed it.
  • Fix other reported bugs
  • Test some quests again
  • Finish the quest hints document
  • Upload mod
  • Relax until the first bug report! :disguise:

BAWN! Aaarrrgggghhhhhh!
Getting old is not pretty. Don't do it if you don't have to. (mutter, mutter)

Just in case If I don't find him could you give me his FormID so I can console to him?

Which should be about six minutes considering the congregation waiting to pounce on it the minute it gets uploaded.

My advice? Wait 24 hours at least before uploading—give yourself a break :foodndrink:

His Ref ID is XX02C69F, where XX needs to replaced with blah blah you know.

Well I should have caught most major bugs by now so I don't expect any major issues popping up soon. Then again, I thought the same with the V1.0 release and that one turned random NPCs invisible and had one quest that could not be started at all. :P

I found an interesting book in the sleepcave of the dwarfs named Kvatch shame
or something, when i opened it it gave me a warning that this quest was not for
everyone which ofcourse made me want to do it, the question is though that I am
planning to insert a mod called Kvatch rebuilt, will these two collide or simply'put
will it collide with any mod regarding Kvatch?

The quest actually has nothing to do with Kvatch so there won't be any problems with Kvatch related mods. :)

Well the info is in the readme. Basically in order to do the quest which itself is relatively short you need to finish all the major quest lines of the game ( the main quest and all the factions besides the Arena faction) as well as the Ayleid Collector quest and all Daedric Shrine quests.

It's just a fun little extra for those who plan to do all those things with one character anyway. It doesn't give you great rewards or powers or whatever so it's not really worth doing unless you were already going to do all those quests.

Cool!!

I recently started adding mods to Oblivion and have been playing only enough to make sure everything works as it should. When I saw that Version 2 was right around the corner I decided to hold off on making my new character. From everything I've read this mod is worth waiting for.

It should definitely be worth waiting for V2.0 rather than going with 1.06 right now, because pretty much everything has been improved. Of course I said this in January already so it's turning out to be quite a long wait. :P

What's your last journal entry of the quest? And you're looking inside
Spoiler
the Ayleid ruin Nornal
right?

Also make sure you didn't forget to download the separate 1.06 hotfix release, otherwise you're going to get stuck at the next step with Sleepy.

If one has already preogressed a bit into 1.06, will that cause problems upgrading to 2.0? Or can I pick up where I left off?

Most things should work, though there is a small chance if you're half way through a quest and I changed something that it could lead to problems with continuing the quest. That should be pretty rare though.

That's not the last journal entry you're supposed to have at that point, you've skipped a step or two. Did you read the letter? Neverard visited the New Lands Lodge in Cheydinhal so you have to talk to its owner there, who points you towards Drakelowe to the south of Cheydinhal. Melisande in Drakelowe will point you to 3 Ayleid ruins, one of which (Nornal) has Neverard in it, and at that point it's possible to find him in the ruin.

 I don't know if I missed something or what but I'm stuck on the helmet quest.
Spoiler
I'm at the point in the quest where I should summon Futurus' essense, but I only get the message that there's nothing here to summon.

Now, I could just force things with a setstage, but I don't beleive I would know where to go next.
