[Relz] Kragenir's Death Quest 2.03 (Thread 10)

Looks like the script got erased - I checked in the CS last night, and there are no scripts for that quest stage. Gotta love the CS. :P

I just had it happen again for a very important part of the Rainbow colour quests, luckily I noticed right away. I go to a topic, add a new addtopic script line (without typos or any mistakes), go to write the dialogue for the new topic, go back to the first topic, and poof! Gone is the addtopic command, along with the two removeitem and one setstage function. I still have no idea what causes it exactly, it feels completely random.

this has probably been answered before..but i cannot find it..if so..i apologize...im running 2.03 with a new game...and ive run into the dwarven garden problem with it not being there...im running feudal empire with the 300 patch..and numerous other mods..

the only other problem i have is falling through the cheyendale book store floor..but who knows whats causing that...Here is my load order..any help or direction would be greatly appreciated...

this is a great mod...love your work...

Another suggestion, regarding the Chest of Wonder:

Could you add a quest stage for when the player finds Tara? As it is now, you get the first one (when you find a card) and one when you talk to Nerussa, but nothing if you to talk to Tara before Nerussa. As it happens, I found a card, then stopped by the inn and gave it to Tara; I later happened to stop at the Wawnet Inn and talked to Nerussa and got the next quest stage, which was completely unnecessary. So, something along the lines of "I found a woman named Tara Raboum who has a chest, yadda yadda... She'll pay me for any cards I find (a way to remind the player that you can dump them off, instead of holding on to them until you get all seven)."

I'm told to go to Vindasel and kill (???) an orc. Only, there are no orcs in Vindasel. Its sole humanoid inhabitant is, so far as I know, Umbra. Umbra is a bosmer female. Have you confused this with Morrowind, whose Umbra was indeed an orc? Or am I missing something?

This patch doesn't seem to work exactly as intended, and I didn't make it myself. It could be that it only works on the original 300 mod and not Feudal Empire, I don't know. I should probably remove it and see if a new one can be made.

I have a problem with the serpent quest, I have found every chapter except nr 6, it is driving me crazy, please tell me
where it is. Regarding the cluttermonkey quest which was quite fun by the way, I have found everything for them and
then I got this list from out-of-his-tree, I have done all quests that this pertain, what do I do now? what for the 3 brothers
to do the publishing? I suspect that this could take some time.

I have a problem with the serpent quest, I have found every chapter except nr 6, it is driving me crazy, please tell me
where it is. Regarding the cluttermonkey quest which was quite fun by the way, I have found everything for them and
then I got this list from out-of-his-tree, I have done all quests that this pertain, what do I do now? what for the 3 brothers
to do the publishing? I suspect that this could take some time.

Pretty much, yeah. Check the inns or the Black Horse office itself - those ar ethe best places to find the papers.

Povuholo: I found the Aphrodisius bush... it was just a little further away than I thought. I happened to stumble across it after exhaustively searching the area (and not finding it), then wandering off in search of something else. I'll note the location in the spoiler file in case other folks have trouble finding it too.

Think I broke Snow White.

Was trying to walk her to the new house, she was pretty bad at following though. Halfway through after fighting off some enemies, she lost interest in following and seemed like she decided to walk back home. Couldn't do anything about it so I went to the house by myself and then used the console to move her there. The quest completed just fine, then she went outside and walked back and forth over and over at the front door. The dwarves don't seem to be moving in either.

Anyway, suggestion for dealing with Desiree. Option to kill her before or after giving her the money for evil characters. The Dark Brotherhood does not get extorted. >_<


Before anyone asks, I can't fast travel since I seemed to have picked up something that's permanently in combat with me while traveling through the wilderness.

Have you tried the movetoqt console command? Do you have some kind of teleport spell you can try?

Oh I used moveto on Snow White, the quest is completed it's just that she's stuck in some kind of loop outside the house now and the dwarves aren't moving in.

The dwarves move in later, but the problems with Snow White sound weird. I'll have a look.

I couldn't find the paintbrush for "Cleaning the Clutter" in Rockmilk cave. I noted that you have the objects shining to draw more attention. Any hints on where that particular paintbrush is?

PS: As you are doing an update, can you make it such that the gemstones for "Crown of Stars" cannot be looted by NPCs (say, those using MMM's looting feature), and only appear when the PC opens the sack in the various camps? Or better, put these gems in locked chests instead of sacks? I ask this as in my game, I have seen multiple camps that have sacks added by KDQ, but these are empty (even if it was the first time I opened that sack/visited that camp). Don't know where those gemstones went, and if I can ever retrieve them.

It's bugged currently, the confronting option should trigger a journal entry, which it doesn't. If you want to confront C.O. you can do it by using the following console command, and then talking to C.O.

A lot of people are having problems with this one, and the level is a bit confusing. Especially since there's one level which the original game doesn't use at all. I'll probably move the paintbrush somewhere else. The paintbrush is in Rockmilk Cave (the first level), in a room that is a dead end, in the corner on the left as you enter, in front of an open barrel.

A Gift From the Gods - Completed the quest and received the mace. Can the quest item flag be removed from the armours? I'd like to keep them somewhere else instead of lugging them around.

They can be found in some inns and such, but I've made Vlaranus Kvinchal hand out an extra copy of each event too when you speak to him.

Oh, another question: I was doing the Killing the Queen quest and I could find only one place that had rats. I talked to everyone who lived in houses with basemants, but only one had the Rats topic, so I gave up and collected my 50 gold. Where are they?

A locked chest (even Very Easy) would prevent NPCs from getting into it. AFAIK, though, looting mods like the one from MMM apply only to corpses, not containers. I've never run into this problem myself, and I use MMM's looting mod.

Another quest where I received a toy sabre from a "pirate". I recall in an earlier version of KDQ that there was a guy in the Tiber Septim Hotel who was looking for a toy sabre. I can't find the guy anymore in the hotel (visited it at all times). Where is this guy supposed to be in KDQ v 2.3? Isn't there a rumor topic about him also?

The plan is to add 9 artifacts to different dungeons in Cyrodiil, with a name that relates to places from the book. Aside from some unfamiliar names, they shouldn't look out of place. They can't be picked up but they cast a temporary, strong protective spell on you when touched. If you find them all then you'll get the chapter. ;)

While getting the stuff for the yellow component, it asked for a perfect topaz. Got one but Ilplanderin actually wanted a flawles topaz. Next I escorted the Tin Man to his friend's ship, he told me to go in while he waited outside. There was a dialogue option to tell him the captain is dead, but I didn't recall killing him so I didn't select that and instead decided to go inside the ship to look around. After confirming the fact, I went back outside to talk to the Tin Man but apparently he'd lost interest and was walking away. Had to reload and select the dialogue option to progress normally.

His name is Gareth Pilkington and the book series is called Broken Worlds. He hasn't published any yet.

I've already corrected the perfect topaz 'typo' in my current esp, but I need to have a look at why that dialogue option would disappear...

I had been in the Tiber Septim several times before finding the Toy Saber. He was not in there until I needed to deliver the item.

That addition does sound intriguing Povu.

Well, I have the saber now, but the piper doesn't appear in the Tiber Septim Hotel. I've been there multiple times looking for him. He wasn't there before I got the sabre, and he still isn't there now. I guess I need to console summon him. Any body else notice this?

Good to know. Would love to get more content out of KDQ. You really should think about making a KDQ for the NPCs from ULs and BCs to integrate them better in the game! :)

I'm having a problem with the main quest. I am at the point in the Lust one where I need to go to Bruma and talk to the Countess. The game crashes whenever I try to enter Bruma. It doesn't matter which entrance I try to go in or whether I attempt to fast travel or walk in. I even tried going in through the tunnel to Jearl's Basemant.

Have you gotten past the Defense of Bruma in the MQ, by any chance? And have you changed your LO around since then? There's a chance your problem isn't KDQ's fault but is instead linked to a corrupt statue in Bruma. If your statue has custom equipment on it that has since been removed (or moved around too much) in your LO, the game will CTD when you try to enter Bruma thereafter.

If that's the case, I believe you can fix it with a combination of http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21008 and then http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23575.
