I am back, and now I have problems with the Just desserts quest, I cannot seem to find some persons
that I should talk to, I have talked to the Umbacano orcguard, both geonettes, Ida Vlidorman 2 female Ottius,
Algot, I read in an earlier thread about some letter to deliver to a shepheard, whom will give me that?
This is very frustrating especially since I downloaded Vilja and she is pvssyring constantly in the background.
I have also delivered the 5 letters and retrieved the book so obviously I have spoken to these people.

An update I run into a female in the arboretum and was given 2 more letters which I have
delivered but still no end, question do I have to speak to Ruslan and Marana Rian these
are the only ones I have managed to miss (I think).

Just Desserts is another one of the quests I wanted to improve for the V2 release, because there's no good way to keep track of which NPCs you have to talk to and which you have talked to, but I didn't get around to doing it. Which is too bad, because it's pretty confusing so I'm not very happy with it right now. I may be able to do something for the next release, but no promises.

I'll see if I can post a list of the characters that need to be talked to.

Yeah that is one quest I'm still at a loss as to what I'm supposed to do.

That and the plates - I swear I've talked to everyone, but one is still missing. I did the daedric dogbone quest too, sot it is not that limb of it.

My first play-through I never did finish Plates. This play-through, I finished it by sheer happenstance. Was in Anvil on unrelated business the other day, a quest-stage that required going to the city and asking the populous-at-large for a certain piece of information. Noticed an NPC I couldn't recall having spoken with in awhile. Decided to talk with him/her. VOILA, the final Plate.

For this sort of quest (Plates for Us) I prefer vagueness over being led around by the nose via map-marker. Seems to me a better way to decrease "unintentional" vagueness would be to provide more precise clues in the Journal as and when needed?

I can't recall if the plates quests gives you a list of possible candidates for plate taking, but if in real life I were to pursue this goal - I'd ask for a list of people and check them off. Why wouldn't the character do the same.

More so this might apply to the just desserts quest - where there is a list of people involved.

With both I'd at the very least record in the quest stages who gave/did what so that you are not going 'now wait ... did I talk to that person or not?'

Where is Querulous Mona? I can't find him, and the spoiler file is no help. I went to where (presumably) it said he's supposed to be, but he's not there.

You mean when you look for him in the swamp near Blankenmarsh? He's http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b120/iamerik/KDQ%20Quest%20Help/ilplanderinhelp.jpg?t=1293803578. Or did you go there and not find anyone?

I went to Blankenmarch and talked to Philip Franc, who told me he was in the swamp. I said "all right" and went to look for him. I went clear to the border and saw nothing, so I checked the spoiler file, then went to where it said he'd be (that fort, right?) and he wasn't there - all I found was a random adventurer creeping around.

Did you see the machine (the altar) that is on the left side of the picture? I don't see how Ilplanderin could wander off (he knows where QM went).

Yeah, I did. I didn't realize that once you get Mona's whereabouts, it starts a second quest - when I made this quest active, it gave me a marker, so I know exactly where he is now.

I am at the last leg of the vampire rising quest, howver I cannot complete it because
Thamriel says that I have to get more experience, does that mean that I have to be
at a certain lvl to complete it? Or must I do the Umbra quest first? I am at lvl 17 at the moment.
About Killing the queen quest, I have been to 4 places and exterminated those including the queen
but when I return for the money he is pleased but only give me 230 gold and a bottle of cure disease
no mention about the special reward for killing the queen, what have I missed?

First of all, I must say this is, together with Integration, the biggest reasons for me to keep on playing this great game. Thank you so much povuholo for pouring so much work and creativity into this.

And now, an inquire:
Spoiler
I finished The One Ring quest... keeping the one ring! My trusty Mehrunes Razor had a big part in that, but I was wondering if such a possible outcome has any advantages. I have already checked that the ring is of no real use to me, for lethal reasons, and I doubt it can be used anywhere outside that quest.
I'm not too much into LotR lore, but how about this? Given that the ring seems fit for the finger of a god, how about a godly player (i.e. a player who is mantling a god, aka a madgod, aka Sheogorath) being able to wield some new power/s from the ring? That would close the circle of 'you need to beat Oblivion to complete this quest', since you would also need to complete the expansion to wield the reward.
Also, better to change the script in the ring from 'ForceAV Health 0' to something like 'ModAV' or 'Player.Kill'. When used from a script, forceav is irreversible except from a scripted forceav again. I was using a http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28561 that sends you to the oblivion waters when you die, and couldn't restore my health in any way. As soon as i came back to the rel world, i died again.

So I get this quest a while back called baby sitting - to baby sit a Knight of the Thorn in Cheydinhal on a raid (suddenly I'm talking to a denizen of WoW). I'm supposed to meet Jhared Strongblade at the lodge and protect him while he ventures.

I put it off for weeks in real life (days in game) in order to complete the main quest of Oblivion.

I go there tonight to find two Jhared's there. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Jhared_Strongblade and the other has the FormID of ##092e65 from this mod. Only the one from this mod has the quest. They did like talking to each other.

Now I don't want to do the quest.

Just popped in to say how much I'm enjoying Kragenir's this second time 'round.
Spoiler
Those Tower puzzles and mazes are proving more challenging than during my first go at it, despite having done 'em once already less than a year ago. Took far longer to navigate the invisible maze, then I got stumped on a question that was easy for me last time. On the other hand I nailed "snails", which initially baffled me before, right away. I lost a bit of time on the mage test question. I calculated the correct answer but forgot the exact question so that I was thinking "how many right" as opposed to "how many wrong". Silly me. I'm now blissfully lost in the "door maze". Great stuff!

I hope you aren't referring to my recent post, since I deliberately excluded any quest solutions in my comments or even mentioned which KD quest-line they refer to. Then again I guess it depends on what you consider a spoiler. I did, after all, elude to situations that someone not yet familiar with the mod won't know about regardless of whether or not the info helps them in any way. That being the case I've now enclosed those comments within spoiler tags.

I think he was actually referring to svartekaptenen's post as that does give away important quest info (seriously giving away a Whodunnit is bad form!)

That one especially, but displaying answers to riddles = bad, IMO. I, for one, haven't gotten through the MQ yet, so thanks for the spoiler tags. :)

There is a point where the original Jhared is disabled/enabled during the main quest, I thought I got it figured out so only the modded one would show up during the quests but I guess something went wrong. I will look into it. For now you can safely disable the vanilla one.

Yes.

I am at the last leg of the vampire rising quest, howver I cannot complete it because
Thamriel says that I have to get more experience

It means you have to level up. I think it's either level 18 or 20 that you need to be, I can't remember right now.
About Killing the queen quest, I have been to 4 places and exterminated those including the queen
but when I return for the money he is pleased but only give me 230 gold and a bottle of cure disease

I'm not sure, I'll check this weekend.

Time to be productive. I've lost part of my changelog, so I'm going to have to check for some things that I might already have done. What's left to do:

Fixes

-Change the Party Time quest a bit, tracking all the Orcs in Cyrodiil with quest markers all at once seems to cause performance issues.
-Alter the script on The One Ring to work correctly when death circumventing mods are used.
-In Yellow, 'perfect topaz' should be 'flawless topaz'.
-Check on Killing the Queen
-Check if there are still problems with Doc at Bawn.
-Check what might make people hostile to Snowwhite, and Rollo
-Check if the final pop up in Death and the Maiden is working correctly.
-Check on some dude in Fort Chalman causing problems or something.
-Check for some potential dialogue issues with Ocato in Death and the Maiden and Lucky Sleepers.
-Is one of the quests labelled Red Queen still? Should be A Dyeing Wish.
-The chest with the reward gloves for the Arena quest in it might be unlocked when it shouldn't be.
-Check on these:
- Some items items should not appear in the world before the related quest stage is started; examples:
One chest in Veyond Ruin
One small chest near Nocturnal Shrine
I remember another placed item in the entrance of an Ayleid Ruin located in the north

- The key "povsspellsgatekey" placed on the top of a barrel in a Inn is very hard to take!!! collision problem, I had to use TCL and several attempts to get it. (important)

Improvements

-Just Desserts (and Plates): Could really use a way to keep track of the people you've talked to, and still need to talk to.
-Happy Birthday: Have a look at the amulet that is required. Maybe change it to something else to avoid confusion with similarly named necklaces.
-The Serpent Project: Alter Spoon Script to take in account chapters that you've already found before getting the spoon.
-A Dyeing Wish: An option to refuse continuing quest once you hear the dye is illegal.
-Rainbow quest: Add a pop up for the stat bonus for escorting Cantor Excrusius.
-Dwarves: Add a subtle glow to the first note about Dopey, many people seem to be unable to find it. It is indeed pretty hard to see, the colour of the note blends in with the ground too well.

I'm aiming for a release by the end of the month.

I figured you were taking a break from this - and I don't blame you seeing as how long you worked on it and as much attention to threads as you've given.

So in my vacation from Oblivion I've been playing (and have almost finished) Gothic 3 modded. One thing it does for its quest log that I really appreciates is record all dialogue that is quest related. So you can read back through the dialogue to get to the info you need.

As for just deserts and plates - I'm thinking something along the same lines. Well at least for plates a list of who could have had them that you can reference later. For deserts - that one is more difficult, but I'd think quest log entries that record the people you are supposed to talk to and if sent off elsewhere then who sent you and to where.

Seems either way it is going to come down to either giving notes or quest log entries.

If I may add to your (impressively long) list:

Salmo's house is always locked for some reason, and going in is trespassing. I ran into this problem when I did the Party Time quest. It might be a bug with Better Cities... I could ask over there too.
