Froki immediately received 3 arrows to the skull after.

Not everything is supposed to have amazing stats. Just a nice little gift. Great for the RP'er.

True....I don't fast travel on my characters so I was running all over the map (used some carriages) but...just expected something a bit better.

not all rewards are like agent of dibella or the blessing of mara...

Some are just minor trinkets to show a recognition of the character's deeds (it's why the axe of whiterun isn't a daedric battleaxe of inceneration at level 1... though there are mods for that..)

Is this a Dragonborn thing? Why have I never heard of this? There's no temples dedicated to the old Nordic pantheon.

It's a vanilla quest. The uesp link is being wonky for me. But its called "Kyne's Sacred Trials".

I checked out his shack on the map. I love how someone who escapes from Helgen goes back home to a shack in the middle of nowhere that's right in-between two dragons.

Lol, the op comment made me laugh.

The necklace slot on my character is reserved for roleplaying. So I don't mind that the effects are sub par. Normally I wear Talos' necklace or the amulet because he's a Stormcloak. But after getting that amulet, I usually rp that my Nord secretly stops caring about Talos as much, since he remembers Talos was just another ghost of Shor, and he puts more importance on the old pantheon. So he switches to Kyne's token.

if you think it's rubbish then you know where it belongs.
In a bin.

where can a bin be found in Skyrim?
respawning containers and dead things.

I like the amulet. I don't care about the enchantment.

It seems to be on par with, or slightly above, the other amulets dedicated to various gods, so i think it is fitting.

most ignore the other part, -10% damage from http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Animals... which is useful at lower and medium levels (ya know when you suddenly find yourself facing a cave bear or a couple sabre cats...)

Oh, that i didn't notice. In that case, it is useful at low levels.
