Lack of endgame content

Post » Fri Feb 14, 2014 7:01 pm

I'm a bit concerned about the lack of endgame content.

I mean 6 dungeons? that's really not much at all. What's the point of making awesome gear if you have no where to test it?

I was thinking of making a tank, but what's the point if endgame is just PvP.

We do not know how many Adventure zones there are going to be so you cannot make a judgement now.

You have to realize that ESO is still in beta so there will be plenty of time for Zenimax to add more dungeons for us to explore and ransack before April and June.

EDIT: besides, how many people in the beta made it to end-game already? Most likely no one.

Well, a few things:

1) That site isn't official, and a lot of their information seems slightly off (they somehow ignore level scaling in PvP in their first point).

2) I don't see anything in there saying that you will only have 6 dungeons. In fact, it specifically says that you will have the chance to revisit every old dungeon, but updated with higher-level content.

3) Adventure zones.

4) You will have access to other alliances' territory.

5) Etc., etc.

Long story short: there's going to be plenty of PvE content.

Edited for above: As mentioned in at least one preview, beta content was abridged and level-capped. No one has seen endgame content, period.

On top of all the end game dungeons the older dungeons open up. From the post you linked...

"But as soon as you reach 50th level you can return to the dungeon that was already visited by you at a lower level. You will find new areas available for exploration there and new quests to take."

It's probably in a similar vein to Rift.

thats not to mention 50+, ++

We haven't seen the endgame content yet, chill out. Hell we still haven't seen the mid game content either. NDA.

OP please read this mas comment. + adventure zones and 16 man content, they have already stated that. But your somewhat right no MMO has enough endgame 3 months after launch. Its why we pay a premium fee all you P2P haters. So we dont have a dead game 90 days out. Oh i forgot all the F2P people dont play past 3 weeks so they would have no idea.

1. Just because they aren't pouring out details doesn't mean there isn't more content.

2. I'm sure some people have seen this content.

3. Launch end-game content doesn't matter. As long as they have the end-game stuff out shortly after launch, that matters.

4. MMOs grow and expand. There will be more content.

I'm not concerned at all about endgame content... mainly because of the paying model this game is adopting, surely there will be plenty of time for the devs to come up with new experiences until i get cap lvl with so many costumers paying for it.

In the Beta, we had access only to the level 1-12 areas and an incomplete Cyrodiil.

@Eulogy I guessed on the average level of quests and enemies. Moreover, the world is much less fragmented, than in other games.

@Templar.von.Midgard, true that. But from what I heard, more of Tamriel will be explorable after the game launches. But from what I've seen so far of the provinces from beta videos, I'm liking the scenery but still think lots of it should be filled up rather than it seeming like a deserted wasteland. That may be me just thinking this though.

Yeah, a game still in beta, with a release in April, noone even heard of someone playing the endgame dungeons, nor their size or scope, but already complaining about it, sure, go ahead, makes sense...

This is the point that I was going to make. We're paying for a game that will be constantly expanding. Every month to a month and a half we will be getting new content. As the game evolves and players advance I expect to have more and more end game content added if needed.

There will be also Veteran Mode on dungeons, I'm pretty I don't just know it, but also heard in a video.
And it matters not, if it is "end-game" content or "mid-game" content, it is CONTENT, they claimed that there will be constant updates. They say it'll be every max. 2 months.

Make me think of WOW legendary dungeons. who was an harder version of dungeons, both max level and some popular lower level ones.

And yes one major reason to restrict number of dungeon on launch is that they want to see how the players manage them. if they are to easy the next set is far harder,
