Lack of Radio Stations and Music in FO4

Post » Fri Dec 11, 2015 9:40 pm

How is it that FNV had more stations and more music?

FO4 needs way more music .... Diamond city radio was great the first few hours but went stale and repetitive quickly!

Initially I felt the same way about the radio stations but then I realized that they kind of take a back-seat to the actual music of the game, so it kind of makes sense.

The grip I have about the radio is not how many stations but the darn sound track is exactly the same as in FO 3/FNV. Sure they added a couple of more to keep people like me from complaining but here I am complaining :) I know a mnnor issue, but I really do like the music in the FO series, I just wish they would have added a bunch more. Oh well just another 'little' point, they sure seem to be adding up.

Black Mountain radio is limited.

Though I suppose so is the classic station in 4.

Aye, I was just correcting you for the sake of relaying accurate data values. Not some kind of competition.

I always enjoy the talk stations from the gta games, maybe the current fallout stations could have special guests on to discuss the difficulties of mirelurk hunting or radiation induced diarrhoea.

Then I stand corrected.

Isn't this pleasant?

Wasn't it in FO 3 that you could do a quest to get the old womans violen back and after you did that you could listen to her play violen solos on her radio station? I don't mind Classical music but violen solos are not my cup of tea.

Black Mountain had all of the same music as Mojave Music Radio, and the Mysterious Broadcast from Old World Blues only adds 10 tracks, and bugs out if you leave it on long enough.

The real metric would have to be hours or track amount, not station amount.

What bugs me is I can't turn the music off.

I've gone into settings and moved it to the very bottom to turn it off but I still hear the music and I don't like that.

Off should be off.

It's funny. I've played FO:NV multiple times (once per faction/ending) and I'm always keeping radios on (environmental only, never pipboy) no matter how many times I'd heard that very limited selection of songs, but in 4 I've literally turned every single one off every time I encounter one.

What? I have my music volume on minimum and it's definitely off. Maybe you are hearing a radio in some building. That's different.

Doesn't the radio have a separate audio slider in the settings? That worked on in-game radios in the last two games.

Supposedly there was three times as much music......I have to wonder where they hid it. Hopefully CONELRAD Radio and the other FO3 radio mods will be ported to FO4.

Yes there was a radio where I was and I hadn't noticed it.

Turned off now.

Would be nice if they used M83 for soundtrack or hired a composer of some sort. I play stuff from YT from the Oblivion soundtrack while playing FO4 ;)

Some only appear late in the game it seems. The singer from the Third Rail music started playing on the radio when I reached level 30.
