Lag in Crysis 2

Post » Thu Dec 06, 2012 12:50 pm

With the updates and what not shouldnt it have helped with lag? You dont openly see the lag but after you die you see the lag when playing online... It is bad sometimes... Is it the hosts connection(Probly is cause everyone else had same issue) I was host for a couple of maps once and had perfect connection so did most other people. I had 4 bars a few others had 4 bars and then 3 and 2 only 1 had 1 bar...
How do people who cant hold a good connection become a lobby leader or team leader what ever you want to call it...
it usually messes up the game for the rest of the players

It's not as bad as it used to be - you sort-of learn to deal with it.

Playing with a bad connection is like playing in another level of nightmare mode.
Every single hit you feel will get you killed and you can just spay bullets all you want, the only one getting killed is yourself.
It's probably not a one shot kill for your enemy, but because of lag you don't even know somebody is there shooting at you, it feels as if you die instantly without any good reason. On the other hand, when it takes two full mags and a few melee hits to take down one guy, it's just not fun anymore. Due to lag again, the enemy usually isn't there where you see him, but the delay tricks you into shooting into the walls. Once I tried to go around this problem by shooting ahead of my target, where he should have been, not where I see him, i got a few headshots like that, by shooting into the air, I estimated approximatively a one second delay.

A fun fact, whenever my connection is trolling again, it feels as If I move around a lot slower in the game, I didn't know what could cause that but there seems to be a clear correlation between movement speed and connection quality. When I have all bars green, I run around like a crazy mthrfkr, it's almost unreal, and it can change from game to game (i use the same load-out off course). I wonder if the same is true for stealth...

When i play Crysis, i have always one or two bar. When I"m lucky, i have four bar. Playing with one or two bar, goes smoothly for me. Sometimes i have so much lag that don"t get a single hit when i get hitmarks.. It"s annoying..

Is it the foreign servers, cause all the games that I have 1 or 2 bars there all talking what sounds like German or UK English?

Lag is an understatement for me. I always have 1 bar and playing from South Africa doesnt help at all. I can shoot a mag into a guys head and he still kills me, killcam show i was standing still.

I'm playing from AUS and always have 1 maybe 2 bars. I'm guessing it's because the servers are set overseas? Although I only play on a couple of bars, the lag varies. Sometimes it's alrite, other times it's a bich to play with. I feel sorry for the other players cause in the kill cam I see myself teleporting everywhere haha

I agree with mujabees. I also shoot the whole magazine and it looks like i am hitting them, but instead, i die and the person who shoots me, is just injured :/
