Lagg in animations NOT FPS

Post » Sat Jun 27, 2009 9:36 pm

hi, i was wondering if anyone else had this?
I am getting a lag in the actual animations. E.g. trees swaying, characters moving and vehicles moving.
they move then stop then moe then stop then move then stop etc. this is NOT a lag in framerate as i have a well built system with a gtx480 in it and i am getting very stable framerates and it did not do this for any other game or the demo, and also it does this on every graphics setting the game has.
It seemingly randomly starts doing it. it only stops if i restart the actual level. then it will stop and the problem dissapears until a little while later.

I am going to try the game on my laptop: Alienware M11x and see if i get the problem on that

Also to add that if i exit out of a game that has this problem and then restart from that checkpoint, the game screws up and npc's dont move to where they are suppose to and vehicles dont go where they are suppose to. and this is REPEATABLE everytime. the only way to fix is to restart the level and play through and hopefully get past the point where this happened and then only to find that it happens when moving into the next area.

this really needs top be adressed as at this point in time the leaked beta is more payable than the actual released game.. very dissapointing indeed
P.s. not that i have played the leaked beta just watched videos on youtube and none of them have this problem

I recall getting this problem in the beta, but I've never gotten it in the full game. Make sure you've fully uninstalled all traces of the leak?

my system is as follows

AMD 955BE (3.2Ghz quad core)
4Gb Corsair Ram
NVIDIA GTX480
500Gb HDD

i think this system should be more than capable...

and as i said i never played the beta just watched videos. (and have seen other play it) i waited for the initial release.

and it doesnt matter whether the graphics settings are as low as can go it still happens.

I have finally got the game to play multiplayer successfully and the lag is infact in multiplayer as well. even on the lowest settings? theres something very wrong here cos my computer (listed in the above comment) is more than capable and it not just me thats getting these problems...

i am playing through steam and as i am aware i have not downloaded any patches yet. is there a way to see what version of the game u are running?
