Lakeview Manor Cellar Wall Sconce BUG and exterior

Post » Mon Jun 17, 2013 3:25 pm

First of all, if I am posting this in the wrong place, forgive me. I wanted to ask if anyone else has this issue.

The cellar workbench gives the option to add one single sconce and four "pairs" of wall sconces. One of the pairs, specifically the pair flanking the doorway leading into the deeper half of the cellar (where the forge and smelter are) only spawned a single sconce (the left). The sconce on the right side of the doorway (next to the corner with the display case table, deer head, and shrine of Kynareth) wasn't added, so that corner remains darker than intended.

Also, the exterior round table and chairs for the roof of the bedrooms does NOT appear.

Is there anyway to fix this? Can these missing things be added through console commands?

save were you are at then load an older save and try to add the wall sconces.
If they dont appear, load your current save again.

are you sure there are supposed to be wall sconces in those places.

In this picture you will see a pair (set) set of sconces, and a single sconce.

The pair is above the practice dummy, and then above the left arm of the mannequin.

I have that set of sconces.

The one that is NOT appearing for me is the one you see a few feet away from the mannequin's right arm to the right of the doorway leading to the blacksmith forge.

It is the right side sconce of a set to that doorway.

The left one appears for me. The right one does not.

No offense, but I am not an idiot or a beginner.

I have tried adding the sconces all one at a time. Saving, reloading before each sconce addition.

creating a sconce, saving, loading an old save, reloading, adding another sconce.

Quitting to the desktop, loading back, adding sconces.

Adding all other furnishings first, then adding the sconces. All to no avail.

I created this to find out if it was common, and if anyone else has this issue? If so, how to fix? I am trying to create the sconces at the carpenter's workbench.

Will the missing sconce appear if I have a steward furnish just the sconces?

Is there a console command to add each furnishing, or a fix to this? Also, the missing round table and chairs on the roof/porch of the bedrooms?

Never get it where? In all the cellars in all 3 hearthfire homes, or just Lakeview?

I have tested this on BOTH xbox 360 AND PC. Both failed to cause that sconce to appear.

Surely this MUST be affecting everyone.

Why can't I find anything about this on a google search? Nobody cares when things don't show up when they add furnishings?

Because most people see things like this as searching for the needle in a haystack.

Nice avatar.

Lol. No. "Sconce (2) added." Only the one appears. All of the others appear fine.
are you trolling?

Thank you. It's my character.

Needle in a haystack? No. Simply, one sconce out of the set of 2 doesn't appear.

No I'm not trolling. I havent seen it in any house on any save so I just thought that it is possible it is added by a mod.

If you were already so familiar with this issue, and had built all 3 houses, and noticed that it never appeared for you in any cellar, why didn't you say that in the beginning, instead of guessing that I was building too quickly, and recommended I load previous saves, etc.?

Looks like you're trolling.

Looks like you're getting mad over a simple light source. I also never get those sconces and as Michael said, I place torches.

Not getting "mad", and it's not about light. It's about wanting to max out my house upgrades and have it complete.

I am never happy with bugs.

There are various. Not all are guaranteed, which is why I am playing carefully. This one, I wasn't sure as to whether or not it is common, or rare. That is why I created this thread, hoping that people might check their cellars and let me know.

I found 3 youtube videos, so far by 3 different people showing off their fully furnished cellars.

All three of them had this sconce missing.
