I've looked for a mod that does this, but cannot find any -- am hoping someone can either point me in the right direction, or do me the huge favor of whipping something up to this end.

The problem is in the Torchbugs spawning by the animal pen of Lakeview Manor in Hearthfire. Tons of them spawn, and it seems to get out of control. Twice I've had to revert to earlier load games as my performance suddenly tanked when fast travelling 'home'... this last time I did more research and figured out that I _think_ the Torchbugs are to blame. If I deal with extreme slowdown long enough to shout a bunch of them out of the air, my performance improves some... then shout more down and pick more up, and it improves yet again. However, even when I leave the area, it stays poor.

Doing some further investigating and comparing my save game immediately before returning home this last time, and immediately afterwards... I see my save file jumping from 17mb to 98mb.

...so at this point even if I grab everything out of the house and abandon it (not my preference by any stretch), just going near the house one time is enough to leave me with a long term problem.

Anyone know of such a mod that can help me out, and/or any other ideas? Some googling on the matter shows some other people have had problems with those torchbugs as well, but I'm not finding any real resolution...
