LAME magic...

Sorry for creating a thread solely for this question, but here it is anyway: :)

The LAME mod adds some odd prefixes to all spell names. This is rather annoying & breaks immersion. Is there anyway to configure the mod so that those prefixes do not show in-game?

Break immersion? Annoying? More like 'break annoyance' and 'immersive' since I wonder how do you find a specific spell in your spellbook when you have 120+

But I guess you have few spells and don't intend to use so many anyways, so it is somewhat justified. Maybe http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12049 can be set to remove prefixes, I don't really know. But I also recall that LAME came with a plugin to remove them.

Edit: indeed it has, read below.

You can use the bgMagicEVNoSorting.esp plugin to restore the spells to normal names.

Thanks for the replies. Before I originally posted, I didn't know the prefixes served a purpose as organization - I thought they were there for some behind-the-scenes programming or something... :D

I'll probably leave them in now that I am enlightened.

+1

Having all spells sorted by school, type and skillrequirement really comes in handy while playing any kind of caster :)

Personally I don't like the prefixes either. I get rid of them when I build my Bashed Patch. In the Tweak Names category there's an item for Spells and you can right-click on it to choose the naming scheme.

I use LAME often, but prefer the bashed patch overhaul of spell name prefixes.
