I agree with the shoulders, just don't make them wings.

Any chance to get the huge pistons on the shoulders like in the original drawings?
Thats what I thought looked coolest about this armour. :)

Gotta say, that looks pretty damn good. I am in agreeance with everyone here who says the shoulders are too small though. Aside from that, it's really my only complaint. I think it looks awesome so far. Keep at it and I look forward to it's release.

You mis-understood me I think; I meant, the shoulders should be...mehg....look at the APA Sprites from FO2 to see what I mean. Look at the head placement.

When I expoted the model, the helmet exported way too large, sorry bout that. Still I do feel the upper arms need modifying.

PsympleJester: I wanted to get those to work but I dont think its possible. Firstly they would have to be rigged in a certain way so that thet function well, this can be done simply by rigging one end to one bone and the other to another bone. It isnt that simple though, If I rigged it that way the piston would morph poorly and go through meshes when the arm is brought forward or rotated. The only way I could see it happening is with extra bones, which is just out of the question.

I ran into this problem (sorta) on another model I made a while back, and I solved it by doing just that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZI-1WsGeZc&feature=channel_page I also added some IKs to it so it bent more or less the way I wanted it too. this kind of stuff just isnt possible in fallout sadly :C

I was actualy thinking you should add it as an "Armour Addon" as opposed to part of the armour.

Would this not solve these problems?

slow at the moment, I've been working my ass off to get a competition entery completed by today. Now thats completed I probably still wont be able to work on it much because I have a load of other things I have to get done too lol.

Since I completed the model for the armour I've reduced the size of the helmet but I have yet to test it ingame to see if it fixes the problems with the shoulders.

Oh snap, I hate Power Armor, too bulky and plain, but this looks awesome!

I'm not the biggest fan of power armor myself lol, its fun to model them though : D. future models from me will probably be actual clothing seeing as there is a lack of that kind of stuff.

Alright, that looks perfect :D I actually never liked the giant shoulders on vanilla power armor, so I think the look in those pictures is perfect :)

yeah, the model is done : D I'm sticking it in game to see what else I can change to the design. I may add extra meshes to the shoulders but other then that the designs worked pretty well so far, I'm gonna reduce the size of the helm still to see if it solves the shoulders looking odd. Inittially when I exported it the helmet was way too large lol.

I definately think the shoulders should stay the way they are, it would be nice to see a power armor that doesn't look like it has wings :P
This is fantastic work, I can't even begin to imagine doing something like thi myself so all the kudos in the world to you :)

like the http://obiwanstevobi.googlepages.com/odstwallpapers from halo 2 and 3 or some thing like http://karanua.deviantart.com/art/Gunslinger-115569592 which came from http://www.sanctumart.com/mod/ecs/index.php?ViewProduct=7
