[WIP] Lancer armor

Post » Fri Apr 01, 2011 4:58 pm

democracy is the worst form of government. besides all the others.

Dictatorship works perfectly if the leader is qualified and wants the best for the people and doesn't get consumed by power....so yeah, democracy is probably safest.

On topic, I can't wait for this armor to be released, I never wear power armor, but now I have a character made solely for the purpose of wearing this :D

Hey, just wanted to chime in and say that armour looks great, and I don't even like power armours that much! :P

Anyway, keep up the good work, take your time, and make it how you want it.

I think ti should stay like it is, it's important to not cram it with with detail when it's fine without :)

I think it looks better without the metal plate
I just love this armor, can't wait to be able to roam through the wasteland with it!

my vote's for no metal plate, but you can always just put out both versions if its not too much work for you in order to accommodate to everyone's personal tastes. Eitherway, this is amazing work. Keep on keepin it on, man.

Awesome armor man. The helmet kind of reminds me of the civil overwatch helmet from Half-Life 2. The combine would pwn the enclave...

I sware thats where they must have gotten the inspiration from, who ever the origional concept artist was.

off topic but I think its too early to make another "armor topic" I worked on the Deep eyes armor that I said I was going to do. Heres a paint over of what I've done so far...

The non paint over looked really bland but this really speaks more about what potential this model has. today I shall be straight back onto the lancer armor : D just thought I'd share the progress on something else too.

I dunno if its possible to get it to look like that inside fallouts engine, It will certainly have to involve quite some trial and error to get the best look from it. If I could get the eyes to light up as well that would be even more awsome, but that might be wishful thinking.

Pretty sure you can make glowy effects on armor, I've seen some on Kikai's armor mod( http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=963478&hl=kikai )

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/articles/article.php?id=35 Glow Map Tutorial. It's possible, since we have a Tesla Armor with glowing lines on a Metal Armor edit.

*edit* Ehhhh I don't see much of the Overwatch helmet in the original concept art. I'd love to see the Overwatch helmet in Fallout 3 though. <3 that design.

You might be the one to finally make me enjoy wearing power armor! That's quite an accomplishment :P

I really love how many armor makes there are for Fallout 3. :D
There was a lack of em in the Oblivion modding scene, and the ones that existed only made sixy female armor. :P

my internet was down yesterday so I got quite some time to work on the Deep eyes armor : D Heres the result of that.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/tyokio/sAVED.jpg
Going to test that in game today, when I rig it for the final version I will do it completly differently (and better) then I did in maya, as you can see the shorts are too high.

ninjagaidan1 : Yeah I can do that, would look pretty awsome.

Now thats completed, back to the lancer armor lol c:

Agreed.

The combine would pwn the enclave...

Wrong. Play Fallout 1 and Fallout 2, and then maybe we'll consider that notion.
