[RELz] Lands End

Post » Mon Aug 09, 2010 10:56 pm

Lands End is a very huge worldspace made complete with in game map etc. It has been made into an esm so it can be modded. It took about six months of long hours to make. And I have made several since, but by far this is the largest. Slower computers may not wish to try this, there are open areas as well as forests, swamps very large monutain area and something I always thought was missing from Oblivion, large cliffs. Please read the read me. Load order is very important. Enjoy!

Looks quite beautiful. <3

For more visibility, you might want to ask a moderator to add a prefix to the title, such as [REL]
Otherwise it may float off the front page and into obscurity.

Looks stunning. Where is Lands End located though? How do you get there?

Also, try uploading to places like planetelderscrolls, tesnexus and tesalliance for a lot more visibility

Looks magnificent :tops: I'm sure that your creation will be put to use. Keep up the bad work.

PS : I suggest that you PM a moderator to add a [Relz] tag to the thread title.

Why, a heightmap is easy and quickly done. http://www.xn--vrnideas-b1a.de/oblivion/LandsEnd_Heightmap.png I just made (for comparison, http://www.xn--vrnideas-b1a.de/oblivion/Cyrodiil_Heightmap.png, at the same scale). Warning: Big images. Contour lines are at each 20m for the minor ones and 100m for the major ones.

Thanks for all the comments. It is an esm, so you can mod it. The ship to Lands End is in Anvil. Please read the read me, load order is very important.I will be revising Lands End, I am making some new cliff meshes in blender. When I get them finished, I hope to shrink the size of the download.

This is unrealistically good. I'd have to say it is the best-looking land addition I've seen to date! :D

I can't wait to see some mods come up based around this! Stuff like this is what tempts me to make a little time to teach myself how to mod Oblivion.

I can guess at the reason for the load order. You can solve that problem by using Gecko's "move worldspaces" function which will allow more wiggle room in where the ESM can be placed in your load order.

If only there was a way to merge plugins of different world spaces so that the land isn't affected by load order.

As was already mentioned GECKO has a function to move the world space form ID into the 00 index making the distant lod show where ever it's placed in the load order.
